My bio as posted on my application.

My name is Chris. I am 25 and I am from Athens, GA. I would like to think I'm a pretty Star Trek universe fan but I know there are others who go considerably deeper than myself. I also love the Star Wars universe and I'm sure there may be those that argue you can't like both.

I have seen Star Trek TNG, DS9, Voyager, & Enterprise but still find it difficult to get started with the original series. I have also seen a multitude of Star Trek Movies including the newer one (I know many hate them) but I love it all.

I have been gaming since I was a wee child playing Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and Playstation 1; but some of my more memorable PC games were

I recently have tried to kick off my own gaming community after leaving the =ADK= A Different Kind of Gaming Community but did not succeed very well. Since I've been looking for a new home I came across a reddit posting for a Star Trek themed kind of community but had no organization to it. Since then I've been thinking I really love Star Trek, I haven't been a community with military like ranks (Not entirely sure if Star Fleet ranks apply) in quite a long time. I am very impressed that this community has been around for 15 years.

Like I said I am looking for a new home and I really really like what I see here. I will be happy to answer and questions and please to make your acquaintance.

(I will admit to having to reread your application when I saw your location - I thought 'Athens' as in the city in Greece )

Thanks for telling us something about yourself. This is a great community and you will find many like minded people who share many of your interests. I like both Star Trek and Star Wars and have seen them all. I am also an old school gamer. Been playing games since the Atari 2600. My current games are WoW, SWTOR, EVE, Rift, Tera, Heroes, and Overwatch. Welcome to the UFP!

Welcome to the community, you've got quite a collection of old school games, I haven't played any of them.

But I do play a lot of games you mentioned on the second list, recently got into Overwatch and I'm enjoying it.

Yeah that why I try to include country because some people have often been thrown off by it.

You wouldn't happen to main Mercy do you? lol. Well I often play support class heroes just because no one likes to heal. I like to think I'm a beast with Zenyatta and recently gotten into Play Mercy a couple of months ago. I like to also play Pharah, Hanzo, Roadhog, Orisa, Torbjorn, and Soldier76.

I just recently got STO downloaded. I'm pretty sure I had tried it like 2 years ago but didn't find it to be as fun. Its pretty exciting now and hopefully I will get more into it.

Hi there and welcome to the community!

At this stage, unless you are a hardcore Star Trek fan, it is hard to get into and sustain playing STO... solo. The game really comes to life and is exciting to play with others (as a duo or team). Use the UFP in-game chat as much as you can, as there are a lot of UFPers out there on different toons not in the current main fleet. Connect with who you can online and do missions together, and I assure you will enjoy STO a lot more.

There is a Holodeck (non-Trek games) division that you may want to look into. Some of the games you listed are there or you may see a game that interests you which you haven't tried yet.

Lastly, kudos for your solid introduction. It lets the community to see your interests and helps us to connect with you... so you can connect with us.

Unfortunately, there aren't any games on your docket that I currently dabble in. I used to for some but those are well behind me. Currently, I'm into Black Desert Online (NA), Archeage (Ollo), FFXIV (Cactuar), the Division, and Ghost Recon Wildlands. Though, I have been on a bit of a break from Archeage and FFXIV.
