    Ever since the new season came out, its been harder to join any PvE matches. takes longer to find a game.

    Not so Friendly Tips:

    1. Stalk fleet event threads; aka the weekly Fleet shebangs (I thinks they still do it leik twice a week, mebe thrice...)

    2. Stalk either ze Fleet Teamspeak (TS3), or Fleet Discord channels for somewhat random Fleet STF runs...

    3. Enjoy, andd try not to stress yerself way too much; STF runs fail fer a ton of reasons...

    4. Repeat previous steps if found favorable...

    There are also a number of PVE queues that offer your choice of Marks, so find out which ones offer the ones you need, it will make it a lot easier.

    Also, if you level'd up a AOY, Delta or LOR character, check out the temporal officer for some free marks. It all depends on how much of the game your special character completed, but the potential is there for a boat load of marks.

    And last but not least, check out our events page https://ufplanets.com/events.php , as we always have an STF day coming soon, and those are guaranteed for easy marks!

    I feel the main reason the pug queues are dead right now is because of the terrible, crappy console port UI that was forced upon us all.

    Just trying to arrange to join a pug or even arrange a pre-made team is a royal pain in the backside and seriously off-putting, assuming you don't get hit with a bug or something. I'd not be suprised is a lot of player simply can't be bothered anymore.

    Last night I tried to jump into both the Tholian and Borg quick engagements in sector space (forgot their names) and it queued me up and I never got in. I have never queued for these before and in the past I have soloed the Borg one.

    I tried soloing the borg one and i got absolutely destroyed by the spheres shield drain.

    But I've noticed the same thing.

    This is because Cryptic in their infinite wisdom thought that these two missions worked better as a queued event rather than just letting people come across them in sector space. So you can no longer solo anything in STO now, evenb SB24 has gone from the solo-able queues.
    In my view a bad idea as it now means sector space has little reason to exist, because you can do pretty much everything sitting on your arse in ESD or First City etc.

    It's just another way the PC version is becoming "consolified" so to speak, they are just copying whatever crappy mechanics and UI's the console has to PC so they need less effort to maintain them.
    I'm all for streamlining the systems, but the PC came first and it WORKED which is important. A lot of this new console styled UI stuff works very badly on PC in my view.

    I'd agree, I've played both the console and PC version, and I hope they don't introduce more of the consoles elements into the main game. It just doesn't work as well and is no where near as fluid.

    I've noticed the delays in queues which makes the game just a bit harder to do but I'll keep an eye out for fleet stuff Smile
