The Internet Has Decided That It Does Not Like Destiny 2

The internet decided that it didn't like Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, yet bought millions of copies in the first week (1.8 million in the UK, making it the top selling game in the country at the time).

The internet decided it didn't like Mass Effect Andromeda because of some janky animations despite the core gameplay of the game being decent and it having a not good but not terrible storyline, and because of that, we might not get any more Mass Effect in the near future or at all.

The internet decided it doesn't like the fact that the new Doctor is a woman with out even giving the show a chance based on a few seconds of reveal/teaser footage. I should also add that the internet said they didn't like the new doctor EVERY time he regenerates.

Now the internet is saying that it doesn't like Destiny 2 based on a beta that's a 2mo old build (According to Bungie, who has said that most of what is being complained about has already been fixed).

My conclusion: The internet doesn't know what it wants or what it likes, therefore, the internet will not decide what I want or what I like.

Betas are intended to test a product for flaws, the reaction that is being garnered right now is as intended, and any feedback is good feedback (with few exceptions). The internet at large, methinks, doesn't really understand that a Beta is an unfinished, often flawed, bug filled, and incomplete version of the game that is intended for testing purposes. Most that signed up for the beta probably think that what they're getting in the beta is seriously what they're going to get in the finished product, which I'm sure is not the case. And after watching the video, I'm inclined to include the video's maker in with that group.

Destiny 2 DLC Could Be As Important As The Main Game, Activision Says

As a heads up: the PC Destiny 2 beta goes live tonight at 18:00 BST. It's available via the Blizzard Battle.net app - the first and only non-Blizzard title to appear on the platform. The full game launches on PC October 24th. (Consoles September 6th)

I've got it pre-purchased so I got an early look last night at the first mission. There's a lot that's familiar but a lot that's different too, it was quite an enjoyable blast through the cabal and it appears to be very well built as it ran extremely well on my rig which still uses a 780TI.

They seem to be doing far more focus on the story this time around and the opening mission sets the stage nicely for just how bad things are going to be for the Last City.
