Still, it's nice to see a variety of Star Trek-based games out there. Even the poor ones can be a learning experience for developers (on what not to do!).

Glad to see something like this coming out! Although, I am unsure whether it is a separate game in its own right, been reading several articles that hint that it might be, but also say it will simply just integrate into their current game - just throwing in some Trek stuff as well. Who knows, but I'd be surprised if it is a separate game - pleasantly surprised.

That would be strange, I wonder how they would tie it in with their current game, since it's a different story.

I have no idea, but I have checked and multiple sources - including their Facebook - say that it will be simply an expansion, adding new missions, ships, characters and sectors for players to explore. Will be interesting to see what the they do, as most people are complaining about the fact that it is a buggy game at the moment.

Not really, Star Trek hasn't had a great history with some companies who got hold of the IP, though there have been some very iconic games! This won't be iconic but I do think it won't be terrible.

I would rather see an up-to-date and full-fledged Bridge Commander II (maybe voyager this time?) than all those silly mobile games like timelines and trexels et cetera on PC..

What I am saying is that some unkown mobile game companies seem to have enough money to buy the trek license but on PC there's still merely STO and an odd number of mods available, besides the old school titles like armada, birth of the federation, a final unity and so on.

That seems to indicate that bigger and better video game companies simply do not see any value in buying the license from CBS even when that apparently isn't as expensive anymore as many people would have assumed before the recent star trek mobile game bonanza
