Been awefully quiet from management.

Do we have a facility to do research and construction in?
Did last Sunday's mining event get cancelled and not posted?
Are there more than 6 people even still playing?

I realize people have other commitments on their time and may not be able to log in every day. But it seems fewer and fewer people are around lately.

I am feeling like an indepentant that is monitoring a very quiet common chat channel.

It has been a little quiet, thexpl0r3r stepped down from his role in managing the corp, so I've been trying to keep it ticking over day to day while looking for a replacement. That should be sorted quite soon!

We do have a structure to do construction in, the research has been taken offline for the moment, but it can be brought back online if people need to use it. The structure is in Averon.

No idea what happened with Sundays mining op, I usually can't make Sundays, we should try an arrange for more mining ops during the week as well, I want to try and organise this, but there's a lot on my plate! Can you give me days and times that you are around and I can work around that.

I think there are more than 6 people still playing, I haven't done a count recently, I'm not very active in the chat channels when I am on, I can try to be more chatty, normally I am sitting around doing my own thing for a while, like Project Discovery, I can do that for hours, I am crazy.

I'm not in the corp because of how much loner i feel when i play, my times of play are chaotic.

I play a little bit less of STO and i do more Eve Online at the moment.

Me too i do my things too, my favorites past time at the moment is Exploration and PVE missions. I'm still on Alpha account and i think soon i will be able to go omega. I was supposed to be Omega the past weekend but real life comes first.

I do not do big OP because i'm not certain if i can be online or how long i can be most of the time. I do take care of my kids and girlfriend first.

I can ask to be back in the fleet but seeing only one person logging and the rest of the time, UFP chat is busy from others corp members that stay almost silent because they must do their own thing or doing chat in another channel that is busier, maybe.

We've definitely seen a downturn in online participation in the last couple of months, I won't deny it.

The biggest issue with EVE is that it is sooo time demanding. You can't realistically just "pop on" for an hour to do some stuff, unlike STO where you can do the odd STF or Episode - on EVE you have to commit, and commit hard. It is the least casual game I've ever experienced.

A lot of the EVE leadership that's still with us, are committed to other games as well. For example, Sammygm is the Head of Community Gaming, so splits his attention across a myriad of gaming. He's a principle leader of WoW raids on weekends, which basically makes his ability to focus on EVE on a weekend nigh on impossible. Adster works on a weekend as well as his other commitments. Three... well... she's just odd.

For yours truly, I was feeling a tad burned on the game, and then I had some rather significant RL event happen - which basically made my ability to focus on anything somewhat challenging. I also found my desire to be even remotely social evaporate. Its like I've hit a wall with EVE, and I can't get past it. I'm sure I'll recover in time, but for now, playing EVE is more a chore than an enjoyment.

However, I am aware that Gaming & Holodeck Leadership are looking very hard at moving forward with EVE, so watch this space!

Learning that thexpl0r3r has stepped down, does explain a fair bit to me.
I normally can not make the Sunday event either. It starts at noon my time and the wife usually has me involved with something offline.
When I say the channel is quiet, it is not that people are not being chatty so much as there are 2-5 even in channel and I am 2 of them.
Maybe part of what I am seeing as an issue has more to do with my time zone. I am in the middle of the US. I am on most days from 0200-0400 Eve time. Weekends I am also usually on from about 1100-1500.

I think most of us do our own thing to some extent or another. I hang out in the UFP channel as I understand that is were the community can reach each other regardless of which corp they are in.
If you would like to run a few PVE missions with other folks, ask in that channel. It does not have to be organized fleet action, just a few people running missions in cruisers can be fun. If you are starting out and can not afford a cruiser yet, get the skills and I will front you the first cruiser.

If you prefer to mine, ask if anyone has an Orca out and is running buffs. If I am mining, Bailahr has the Orca and is buffing Chaos. Happy to add other folks at no charge.

I would like to see formal fleet ops and do Incursions, but those need to be planned and scheduled ahead of time.

The problem we faced with planning events was timing. In order to accommodate our US Friends as much as possible, it means doing the events extremely late in the UK timezone - where quite a fair number of our staff are based. On weekends, there's also a huge conflict with both STO and WoW events that our community holds, resulting in those who play those games are preferring to attend those events than EVE ones.

I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it again; if you'd like to see some EVE Events held in American timezones, please by all means, volunteer to create and lead them! We're always looking for event hosts, and if you're willing to commit, we're willing to help you as much as possible!

It is not hard to lead a fleet or events. Only need people present and to who does what.

I used too, when i was alone with no kid (lol) , running a Corp, in the end i was doing low sec rating and patrols.

But my play time is chaotic at the moment, i'm trying to see what it will be when school and work settle down.
