I'm Rasinycon and a friendly Scandinavian
Let me tell you something: I bought this game in 2011 and confused a lot about controls and what to do in-game. 2014 i returned again to experience more, or maybe it is because I miss my fun there. Few weeks later i understood a little and with my battle tactical experience it was hard to go through the story as it became harder and harder so i had to quit playing STO. January 2017 i returned once again, months have passed and i still playing STO. Why did i return? Since 2014 in autumn I played an MMO Open-World game called Firefall. I played it for 2 years since and became shut down which my heart broke very hard. Thanks to Firefall i should almost easily understand STO now, still have a lot to learn about STO. And a little experienced English.
About myself: I live in Scandinavia and I play a lot of games especially Warframe as my main game and a Founder too, highest one to buy the last option of Founder Package. I play games most time and watching some anime and cartoon series a little. I train muscles little by little but with smoothies i should feel strong haha. I watched Star Trek series as a kid, very astonishing future, Voyager is my most favorite series.

Welcome and thanks for telling us something about yourself. I myself have played Firefall and Warframe. I think there are a few other members around here who also play Warframe. I also have had my troubles with STO and have had my absences from the game.

I played a little Firefall, as one of my good friends worked for the developer (as a SysAdmin, not a programmer). Still, he got me an early account and I only played it during the beta. I never followed it into release.

Welcome aboard!
Always feel free to ask around about STO if you need a heads up about something. I've had my breaks from the game but I've been there since the closed beta - what we have today is somewhat different to back then.
I do remember Firefall, though like Silynn above me, I never followed the game past a small period in the beta test days.
