Hey,

So as she is wont to do, Scar has persuaded me to get some shots together for a sig. I know which character I'll be using, my Klingon Liberated Borg. the question becomes, which of his usual ships should I represent in the sig? I'm going to use this as an inaugural try at making a poll. There's no write-in/field candidates; all four are ships that I use very frequently and identify with this character.

They're both pretty great, aren't they? The Mogh wins based on sheer longevity; I've been swooning over that ship for like, four years now (in the poll, they're pretty much ordered in my preference, top=most).

This is fascinating to me. Five days in, and the Duvqu' is the only ship with no votes.

The fact that it's ugly, even by Klingon standards probably helps. The Peghqu was such a good looking ship, and then they turned it into that.

Huh, that's the exact opposite of my take on it. IMO, the Peghqu looked boring AF, like someone said, "Make something like the Puyjaq, but more boring." I thought the T6 version gave it some character it had (until then) been sorely lacking.

But hey, it's all subjective.

Though I voted for the Martok, would there be any love for the Bortasqu, the Klingon equivalent to the Odyssey class?

While the Odyssey sister classes are all quite good looking ships, there's something about the Klingon variants that just looks fake, like it's made from plastic or something.

I never got involved with the T5 Bort; I didn't have any of the flagships (Bort/Oddy/Scim) until they got their T6 updates. If I go with the Martok, it goes as a Martok-class.

(Side note: is this the STO equivalent of "What cap does the ballplayer wear on his HOF plaque?" )

I never felt like you do about the T6 flagships' appearance, but I'm sure it's also possible that between different Hull Materials, Shield Visuals, and lighting, we're not comparing apples to apples. Case in point: I have the newer T6 Orion FDC, and if I'd just gone by its promotional shots, I'd have been very upset. Fortunately, there's a second hull material, "Orion 2" that you can use, that looks worlds better than "Orion 1".

OK, so the poll closed an hour ago, one more big thank-you to all that took the time to vote. The clear winner is the Mogh-class, so my efforst in creating a screenshot that doesn't suck will revolve around the IKS Vo'Kor-At.
