The current drama from America comes in the form of Donald Trump, possible going a bit too far with Twitter this time. For those who don't know, he retweeted 3 videos from a Neo-Nazi group, known as Britain First. Many UK politicians called him out on this, a Downing Street spokesperson came out and said that it was "the wrong thing to do." to which Trump replied "@Theresa_May, don’t focus on me, focus on the destructive Radical Islamic Terrorism that is taking place within the United Kingdom. We are doing just fine!", so rather than apologise for retweeting Nazis, he doubled down!

There are people calling for the state visit to the UK by Trump to be cancelled, and for the British government to send a much stronger worded message in response.

This isn't the first time Trump has used Britain to promote his own agenda, he has called out the Mayor of London over terrorist attacks, and he attributed the rise in crime in the UK to Muslim immigration. But this recent action is really crossing many lines with politicians and the public. It's not that long ago since a man murdered an MP, allegedly shouting "Britain First", you can read that here if you wish.

Unlike the previous debate, this is about the actions he has taken, and not about him as a person. I'm sure we can have a civil discussion about his actions! This is also a hot news topic at the moment, and not just a general thread.

Hell no, Trump's twitter account is a form of real-time stand up comedy for me.

EDIT: Basically, I've learned to sift through his posts. Sometimes I laugh at him, sometimes I ignore him. In this case, I really just ignored what he did.

As a naturalized yank (i.e. not born in the USA, but a legal citizen), this particular set of tweets bothers me. The White House Press Secretary suggested it's not about the content, per se, and more about the message that immigration is a legitimate concern in America.

Yet, I perceive that is a white-wash. To send these Tweets was a deliberate action. If the message wanted to be sent, then why not deliberately make that message? Instead, he chose these videos (from all other options available).

In my opinion, the British government should cancel the meeting as a punitive signal that such actions is not diplomatic, or dignitary, at all.

Lets avoid the drama on Trump debates. I've heard enough about fallout from those to last a lifetime and we don't need that here.

I agree that the twitter account had to be taken down because he doesn't watch what he says. I can't provide logic on illogical messages.

He needs to apologize and I think it would be smart for the meeting to be cancelled. There's no point having a state visit clouded by negativity.

Trumps actions are frankly every reason why he doesn’t deserve to be president, he advocated a far right neo nazi hate group that is close to being banned in the UK and has many members serving jail time or being arrested every week, defending his actions in this instance would make you as big a moron as he is! It would be like the UK advocating the KKK!!!! It’s absurd!!!! Our government should cancel the US State Visit invitation until a change of leadership for the better occurs!

The man is an utter imbecile of the highest order who shouldn't even be allowed to work for any government, let alone be President. And as a result of his idiotic actions this week he shouldn't even be allowed to enter the UK, we should just class him as stirring up hate-speech and ban him as we have done with multiple other idiots from all over the world.

The real major issues with his actions is that:

1) it legitimizes people who hold these views and emboldens them. In the case of these Britain First ♥♥♥♥♥♥s it emboldens a bunch of racist scumbags who actually fake their own videos in order to stir trouble with their own idiotic fans.
Just how many racists and xenophobes will come crawling out of the woodwork like a slithering pestilence now that they see their views being portrayed openly by Mr Trump.

2) It makes anyone not standing up to his stupidity look like a complete ass-kisser of the highest order, and seeing our government piss about whilst trying to avoid being too harsh in responding is almost a bigger insult I find. Oh for the Queen to just go on air live and call him out for how moronic he really is.

I would revoke the invitation of a visit and slap his name on the naughty list of people not welcome here due inciting racial hatred. See how the orange turd likes that.
