Hello all. I joined the UFP community nearly 2 weeks ago as of this post. My apologies for making an actual introduction kind of late, I felt it would be best to get acquainted with everyone and everything first.
I am a 23 year old living in the state of Ohio in the United States. I am a college student working on a degree in Mechanical Industrial Engineering Technology (thank goodness they have it abbreviated to MIET, what a mouthful). I enjoy playing all sorts of games in my spare time, enjoy sketching and creating stories about what I draw, and I play the violin.
I have been a fan of Star Trek my whole life, my favorite movie was TNG Insurrection and my favorite episode was TNG The Inner Light. I have played Star Trek Armada, numerous Star Trek flash games, and several games modded to feature Star Trek, such as Stellaris and Sins of a Solar Empire. I have been playing STO ever since F2P was launched. I have created 2 accounts, both on PC but retired my 1st account and created my current account about 2 years ago. I became a lifetime subscriber during the summer of this year. I have 2 characters on my active account, my tactical main and my temporal engineering alt.
I first heard of the UFP 4 years ago during a transition period within the previous STO fleet I was a part of. I decided to join recently because the other fleet had stagnated and I was the only person really active for well over a month. I have been enjoying the time I've been spending with all of you and look forward to everything else in the future.

Thanks for telling us something about yourself. You might be in the minority about Insurrection 
I will agree with you about The Inner Light, great episode. I truly hope you enjoy your time in the UFP.
If your able and its a good time to meet new people There is a new member event hosted by the Academy staff on the Fri. Dec. 15th at 5:30pm EST. Also there are other events being planned as our UFPAC awards ceremony is this weekend. You can check all of this out on the Events page.
