    If I have a concern is that several people who signed up for Ares, have not posted anything in the Prelude. It's my perceptions some key positions have had very little to no interaction, yet. So, the more complex the scene, the more involved participants should be . Ugh, bad sentence but does that make sense?

    I mean, what the plan for tagging someone who doesn't respond?
    If they don't respond, just go on with your next post and they'll respond eventually or not at all.

    Also, are we thinking of having a run in with Orion or Ferengi raiders who are taking advantage of a decimated Cardassia? It would be a good way to introduce the entire crew to combat and it would be a good practice run for what is to come through the rest of the project?

    A scenario:

    We are travelling at warp 7.7 to a colony on the outskirts of Cardassian space, it was destroyed by Dominion forces when the local populous heard of the atrocities on Cardassia and rebelled. Due to it being on the outskirts of Cardassian space it has received much help but it has had plenty of visits from Orion raiders and pillagers. As we travel through warp we are intercepted by Orion pirate vessels that claim we have entered their territory. After negotiations fail and combat starts we destroy 2 out of the 3 vessels, we follow the third back to a colony that just so happens to be the one we are trying to assist. Turns out an Orion pirate gang has taken over the planet and is using it as their HQ to raid other merchant ships and colonies.

    This way we can experience space and planet battles and all departments will be involved in some way.

    The Squadron fighters to battle smaller ships and to fend off any shuttles trying to sneak boarding parties aboard or doing the same to get on enemy ships
    Bringing it to the captain's attention, see what happens.

    Indeed, we cannot force people to participate of course. But I was thinking about the fact that the Ares team could send a PM to those who didn't posted anything to know why and find a solution.

    This is all up to Eagles(I know I'm spelling it wrong), but I think there shouldn't be any boarding....or any Serious casualties. In my mind, The True Way ships can't stand up to a great old Sovereign that was ready built specifically for the Borg.
    (How old is the sovereign design at this point on our timeline?)
    They'll get in a few potshots & one lucky hit COULD take out our engines for a time to allow a larger battle group to swoop in and try to take the ship, but our lovely CE can get them up before they get to us.

    It's not just up to Eagles; it's up to the crew. We're open to having our overall story go the way the majority wants. We're not being attacked by The True Way ships right now, but the Orions, though TTW will probably be in our future, probably more as planetside terrorists.

    Keep in mind, our primary mission is to get into deep space, after helping the Cardassians, so this is just a test to see how we do under pressure.

    I'm not expecting any deaths or boarding parties due to the nature of why we're having these ships attack. I have two coming at us to keep it interesting haha.
