General Overview : Laxeth is a natural technician and inventor. He often goes into lengthy explanations about his achievements, much to the chagrin of his fellow crewmates. He is very loyal and loving to his friends.
Strengths & Weaknesses : Laxeth is overly talkative and can become distracted easily. However, he is extremely intelligent in his field and can often be entertaining in social situations. He is typically calm under pressure. He displays ingenuity.
Ambitions : Laxeth is serious about his Starfleet career. He hopes to achieve a Command-level position one day.
Hobbies & Interests : Laxeth is interested in fashion and interior decorating. While he has an interest in singing and cooking, he is terrible at both activities. He is an accomplished pilot and has experience with mining.

History
Personal History : Laxeth grew up on the Prema II Talaxian Mining Colony in the Delta Quadrant. His father was a miner, while his mother was a prominent politician who fled Talax at the end of the Haakonian War. At a young age, Laxeth’s parents arranged a marriage between their son and the daugher of a Mylean regent. Their hope was that several Talaxian refugees could resettle on the Mylean homeworld. Laxeth entered his teen years and pursued a courtship with the regent’s daughter. Despite a lavish wedding, the pair chose to annul their wedding less than a year after it took place. No one is sure why. As an adult, Laxeth found he had a talent for building things and understanding complicated systems. He was eventually promoted to Communications Master of the monthly convoy between Banea and Prema II. While he was able to hone negotiating skills between his people and the Baneans, this often put him into conflict with the Numari and frequent Kazon raids. Unlike other members of his colony, Laxeth was not prone to back down from a fight.

In an effort to increase the Talaxian convoy’s defenses, Laxeth began experimenting with chroniton shield technology in 2373. His early success had the unfortunate side effect of attracting the attention of both the Krenim Imperium and the Borg Collective. In early 2374, the Borg arrived to assimilate the Prema II colony. Identified as the progenitor of the chroniton shield technology, the Krenim removed Laxeth from the normal space/time continuum to potentially recruit him to enhance their technology. Despite his pleas, the Krenim leader Obrist refused to restore the Talaxian colony with their temporal sciences. The Borg detected the Krenim’s transport of Laxeth, and the two powers came into open conflict with one another. During the confusion, Laxeth was able to escape the Krenim ship and re-enter normal space/time nearly 40,000 light years away in the Nocona system. He subsequently joined Oxilon’s colony of Talaxians in a surrounding asteroid belt.

When Delorinn Jhall arrived in the U.S.S. Valiant-A to defend the colony against the Vaadwaar, he found the Talaxian trying to stowaway aboard his ship. With every initial intention of returning Laxeth to the colony, the Starfleet Admiral eventually granted a field commission of Acting Ensign to Laxeth to serve as the ship’s interim operations officer during the crisis. Impressed with the Talaxian’s skills, Delorinn provided passage for the Talaxian to return with him to Earth after he requested asylum. Delorinn gave Laxeth a command-level recommendation to attend Starfleet Academy. He is currently in his sophomore year. The Ares is his assignment for the Academy Field Studies Program.
