I've been trying to upload a new avatar but it never successfully goes through, every single image/gif I've tried to upload has come back with the "Invalid File" message. Other sites seem to accept the images (Imgur etc) but I'm having no luck with them on the forums. I removed my avatar and uploaded it to see if it would work but unfortunately it didn't. Gifs and pngs/jpegs all come back with the same Invalid File message. Looks like this affects attachments as well, I guess file uploading is a bit broken at the moment.

Silly verification question since you're in this branch of the staff team - but are you sure that the avatars you have attempted to upload thus far are of the correct dimensions as instructed? 270x270 and under 1.23 MB
From what I've observed - sometimes the forum resizes it and uploads it, other times it won't and you have to manually do it. The latter has mainly been for .gif avatars for me.

It's not just you and it's not limited to uploading avatars; I've just tried to add a couple of STO screenshots to my gallery and I'm getting the invalid file error message too. The images are in the same place and in the same format and size/resolution as the images I have already uploaded.

I've had trouble in the past, but somehow was able to manage an upload. Could it be on the server side?
Does this issue always occur, just recently, or off'n'on?

If the image was too large it would give me a different error, so its not that! (I did double check to make sure though! 
)

Just started happening recently, there wasn't any issues until today. I tried Firefox as well, but it still didn't work!

When I get home, I'll see if I can upload a new avatar gif myself. Well, I'll find a new one and try that... then my old one for test.
