So, I'm catching up and see that A'Mand is on the Bridge, yet someone wants to see her in her office.

Since Ares is not in combat, then can she leave the Bridge? I mean, does anyone think the Chief Counselor has a "duty" to be on the Bridge for a shift?

We're starting to do a little bit of jumping around with timing. In our chronology, the Rybarian's character, Laxeth, is requesting to meet up with you 3 days after the day we combated the Orions. At your last post, your character is still on the bridge on the day of that skirmish so A'Mand is now in a different place 3 days later. The 3 days time seems to be the unofficial agreement on when we are now, as two of our medical officers, our chief engineer, and my secondary character have posted this as when we are now. None of us are in the same places as we were before and, thus, we're moving the timeline along.

“Go ahead.” R’Turan purred, approaching Oma’s station. “I’ll send a security team with the one going down there, in case they find something.” Following his statement, the Caitian would turn to the chief of security, Lt. Ian Locke, purring;

“A team of two will go down there with whoever lt. Oma selects, if anything goes wrong, you are free to send reinforcements.”

FYI, Ian Locke isn't on the bridge at this point in time since he went over to help out with evacuating a classroom. My main character, Dyrell Teriir, is there though so we'll have the statement addressed to him.

Crist, if that was to happen then we will defiantly need medics in main engineering. Have you seen a Klingon Cheif Engineer have a go at fixing a warp core... it's exactly like a Klingon field medic, bleeding less is good enough haha.

I'd like to see species playing characters that go against our stereotypes. It reminds me of Kolos being a lawyer, his father being a teacher and his mother a biologist. Kurak was a warp field specialist and Korath was a scientist. I remember another scientist/engineer on TNG, can't think of his name.

It must have been how TOS fans felt with Worf on the bridge for the first time. Seeing a Romulan on the bridge of a new Enterprise would take some getting use to haha

It must have been how TOS fans felt with Worf on the bridge for the first time. Seeing a Romulan on the bridge of a new Enterprise would take some getting use to haha

The Romulan officer would've been interesting but I think it would be a few more decades before a Romulan would serve in Starfleet. After all, as of Star Trek Nemesis (2379 and our roleplay is in 2381), the Romulans have only just started opening up with the Federation. Given that there has been more than 2 centuries of hostilities between them, it would take the removal of the Neutral Zone before they would even consider forming a true friendship. They were allies in the Dominion War only because they had to be, the only time I can think of when they were on somewhat friendly terms. There's been a lot of bad blood between the two sides; too much for a Romulan to join Starfleet within 2 years of them beginning to establish routine diplomatic dialogues.

It would've been very interesting to see though.

The underground movement of Romulans who were following the idea of a possible reunification with Vulcan would likely be more free to move during the Dominion War, as most of their military would be away from home. A few of them could've come into Federation Territory at that time and one of them may have decided to join Starfleet. They would've had to find a ranking officer within the fleet to sponsor his or her entrance into the Academy, just as Nog asked Sisko to get in.

Simon Tarsis, an enlisted crewman on the Enterprise-D, was at least partially Romulan. And T'rul was in "The Search" in DS9 as an official Romulan representative who basically functioned temporarily as a bridge officer to monitor the loaned cloaking device. I always wished T'rul had stayed around, and I like the idea of characters who may have thought they were Vulcan discovering they were Romulan... there's a lot of story possibilities. I would also be interested to see where it leads TBH.
