I think if we started putting our medics into the engineering core than the ship would actually become a lot safer, after all, in the unlikely event that something goes wrong than the wounded can be properly treated almost instantly!

I was thinking about chief engineer or second officer/ security officer. I was not sure if tactical also functioned as security. I am still brushing up on engineering but I would be happy to fill that one also. I have finished ch1 so I think I am up to speed.

Tactile is not security but they do share a close 'relationship'. Tactical officers have control of all offence and defence systems on the exterior of the ship if an intruder was detected it would be up to the head security officer to detain them behind a certain level forcefield.

As we have seen in Star Trek TNG, the roles are closely related as tactical usually focuses on exterior threats while security focuses on interior, we constantly see officers swapping from the roles, such as Worf.

Tactical for exterior threats, Security for interior threats. Both roles involve providing protection for the ship and crew so it makes sense they fall into the same department.

You mean have a stand-in medic ready? haha what would they do meanwhile? I'd say during a red alert, you could send a couple medics as your personal procedure, that'd be cool. That would be something totally up to the CMO.

We need a chief engineer and already have a second officer/security officer. On our ship, tactical functions as security, just like with Worf and Tuvok. Worf and Tuvok were in charge of tactical operations, including weapons and shields, and ship's security.

That's beautiful. Is it too late to add the northern continent to it? Can you change the scale to km? Can we see the elevations?
