As the title States, I'm currently working on a Build for the T6 Yamato that I've had for some time, after browsing the many build guides and forums this is what I have come up with;

*note the tricobolt torpedo represents the trilithium laced tricobolt torpedo for the trilithium laced weapon set.

While I have enjoyed utilizing the current build with my engineering toon and Using Bridger's excellent skill tree guide for Tactical/Engineer I have seen significant improvements overall, I feel the current build could use improvements in regards to dealing damage, So I was hoping the community could help me improve my current set-up, thoughts?

I have a few questions:

What are your goals for this ship? DPS, PvP, Relaxed, Radboat, Whatever ...

Do you have a preferred theme? Although I see your using Phasers, do you want a canonical style or does that matter at all?

What's your budget? Are you willing to spend Zen for your ship? I'm not saying you should, but if we know what your willing to do then opinions can be directed appropriately.

Could you update the link with BOff abilities, DOffs and current Traits?

i updated the planner including, Doff's, Boff's, Skill Tree and Traits.

1.) I was Going for a PvE, DPS Tank that can be tweaked along the way when new events and expansions come along.

2.) Theme, I'm going for a Canonical Style for the Build, I originally had it as a beam boat but I realized the design didn't scream beam boat to me so I got the Quantum Heavy cannons and added the Dual Beam Emitters and Torpedo for the set bonus. I added the three omni-beams after I realized I needed the 360 coverage, I was going to get rid of the torpedo but after the recent event, lets just say it saved me a few times when the Hur'Q got behind me.

3.) I prefer to stay on budget and not depend on the C-Store, especially since I blew the 1,000 zen I had saved from my monthly stipends on the phoenix and R&D box events. i'm concentrating on Reputation items right now, took forever to get the two piece assimilated set. So yeah, I've been pretty much budget shopping the exchange and reputations for my higher end equipment. though I guess i can have some flexibility.

Ok the builds needs some help.

1.) Do you want to keep the cannon a ship with so limited Tac Boff Stations I would not run Beam, Cannon and Torps, I would also switch to an A2B Build. You should also consider switching to a full Beam Boat with 8 Beam Arrays

Well, I suppose I could go back to a beam boat, any suggestions for equipment changes? New Warp Core perhaps?

How about traits, should I change them?

Hmm... 4 shaft steam turbines should do it and for defence three 40cm/45 calibre three-gun turrets.

Oh and make sure to remove the suicidal mission trait. Always make sure you have air cover and lots of fuel.

Apart from that, I think you will be sinking Klingon Boats of Prey in no time!

I've got a similar build to what Bridger suggested, A2B. I have a slightly different boff setup though:

It depends what recources you have available in EC, Marks, Lobi, Dilithium...

For example do you have any of these?
