    T6 - UFP Special Forces Beta - Kelvin Intel Dreadnought Carrier[TOP]

    Hi,

    The philosophy of my builds is bang for buck builds. The following is my focus:
    - I don't go out of my way to purchase ships for traits, I make the best builds with what I have
    - No lobi consoles used
    - Experimentation : I do this alot. I change builds from one week to the next.
    - When upgrading, my main concern is getting my gear up to XIV regardless of quality. On that note, I do at least attempt to attain UR.
    - Usuage of easily attainable gear which is also good in the meta; consoles/weapons via episodes/reputation

    The above are what my definition of budget / bang for buck builds are. If this is something you are into as well, welcome.

    Why bang for buck builds?
    I play across multiple toons - I don't want to be bummed about not having certain consoles in those toons. I like having my own universal builds which I can carry with me from toon to toon. If you main an Engineer like me, welcome! All the parses are done from my ENG toon. Hence for Tactical Officers - the result should be better than mine.

    Key Note about this specific build:
    • Remember to use your heals from time to time. You are pretty much a tank - and won't really need heals so much. The reason why you heal is to get the Crit Chance buff from Logstical Support, from Strategist Spec.
    • You can swap out the ferrofluid console for plasmonic leech if you have that. I'm only using this currently for experimentation but I certainly am impressed.
    • Under traits, if you feel Techie is unrequired, feel free to change it. Sometimes I've removed it in exchange for "Duelist's Fervor" or "Context is for Kings"

    Final Note:
    There maybe better builds, I know I can do better on tactical officer, yada bada. I do alot of things which is specific to how I play STO. Such as the aft torpedo in my Oddy builds, etc. I've set my own level of immersion in this game which helps me enjoy it. Keeping everything in mind - this build ultimately represents how I play and enjoy this game more than anything.

    The skill which I used for this build has a hindsight whereby I didn't alot many crucial points, such as towards long-range sensors which decreases my DMG Output from distance. Essentially if I had - my parse would be at least 60K. Hence why, I will instead link you to Bridger's Tactical Skill Tree layout, you will perform a better parse than mine with this selection for sure - and this is what I will spec to myself once I get a retrain token.

    Final conclusion:

    While making this guide is when I put in some of the boffs essential, such as replacing with better quality boffs. All in all, take this parse below as place-holder, it can do better than what is posted below.

    The ship itself is great, very tanky at the same time. Thanks to Bridger, I've borrowed his format and modified it abit Constitution light

    Advice was adapted to the build, and indeed was much effective.

    I guess the above build is obslete already. Did numerous changes in terms of modules + traits. Will update it into the build above when I get the time.

    Is it viable today? Sure. But since then I've got more traits and more ships. Also many other abilities buffed during this period. In short, while it is a yes, there are more ways to build this ship today.

    This is your typical A2B build. As long as you pilot well and keep note of your CDs + activation times, should be good. But I'd also take a look at more current and modern builds out there today as well.
