Budget Fleet T6 - Galaxy Class[TOP]

Hi,

Back at it again, with another budget build with the Galaxy class. It's a ship I do use alot, but I only just recently got this Fleet T6.

I think I should've put the disclaimer for my definition of budget, which pretty much is anything I can attain without specifically spending real life money on consoles.

While hard, competitive queues can be done and do pop (albeit, at a slow rate). Due it being a reputation set and the deflector easily attainable by our colony fleet holding, they come under my criteria for budget build.

Still, I will look for alternative sets on the same.

Can you tell me what other ship mastery traits are available to you? Maybe a Screenshot of the side panel displaying all your ship mastery traits in the verticle column.

Well, as it so happens i made great progress yesterday in regards to my other build, here are the traits I have aquired:

Tactical Analysis

Promise of Ferocity

Honored Dead

*though truth be told, I wish cryptic would have a means to make ship traits like Cold-Hearted available, like make it temporarily available from the fleet lab for a short period.

Side note: Any suggestions on how to adapt this build to a T5U ECR?

Cold-hearted - from the Breen Plesh Tral Heavy Raider event ship (Qs Wonderland 2017 event)
Critical Systems - from playing Story Arcs as a Temporal Agent (can this be acquired now?)

The Breen ship could be acquired via the Rep store with tokens purchased with Lobi. Anyone who has not slotted the project is up the creek for this trait. UNLESS they get extremely lucky on Phoenix Prize boxes. This Trait is expensive to own, in my very humble opinion.

Arno, the problem with trying to use this with the T5 Galaxy is a double-whammy of bridge seating. 1) Your Tac LCDR downgrades to LT, and 2) the Uni ENS (that's being used as Tac) reverts back to being fixed as Eng. So you're working with only half the number of Tac seats as Mack is using here. I'm not gonna say it can't work, but man, that's an uphill climb if I ever saw one.

EDIT: if you were going to try and emulate this layout on a T5/T5U ship, I think you might be better served doing it with the Regent (Assault Cruiser Refit).

This post made me realize that T5/T5U Galaxy layouts are completely different. The two tactical would be to choose between Tactical Team & Kemocite-laced Weaponary. And Tactical Team would be needed to make some use for Tactical Analysis - unless we ignore that and go for Invincible instead.

I gotta agree with Generator, I got this build on my T5U Regent and it works great and adapts great on it. I'll need more time to experiment with a T5 Galaxy though.

Slot Promise of Ferocity & Tactical Analysis. Yea it sucks to not have cold-hearted, however I only have critical systems put as I do not own Promise of Ferocity.

Sure, you'll need to work on getting rest of the parts from the reputation. You don't need to put in the saucer separation console at all, I just have it there as I didn't know what else I could put plus I like getting rid of the saucer at times for better turn rate - something a RCS can do too.

For weapons, you'd just need a kinetic beam. You can keep your current weapon setup however remember to broadside pilot your cruiser for maximum weapon fire arc advantage.

For consoles, get rid of Polaric, EPS Manifold, Timeline Stabilizer, Enhanced Neutronium Alloy & temporally shielded datacore.
Work on getting the mentioned reputation consoles. The mentioned RCS console & Plasmonic Leech can be acquired from Exchange.

Space Set, what all space set do you currently have access to? I'll experiment with those while you have to continue working towards the mentioned colony deflector and competitive set.

Si Amigo. Well, if you created your temporal character during the temporal event (launch of AoY) - then absolutely yes it is.

The ship itself is not something I use, but the trait is good for A2B Drain builds especially. I'd assume if you use disruptors (i.e. you don't use drain build), you have a work-around.

But I agree with you, I wouldn't pay so much money or unlock so many boxes just for enough lobi to get this trait. There should be other viable options with you, perhaps?

I pretty much got all my reps at or close to tier 5 with the exception of the Lukari and Competitive wargames which I'm currently working on, I already got the deflector and shield from Nukara and the engine from romulan rep for my Dreadnought build, I already have plasmonic leech, so I'm set in regards to leech and Rep set access. I'll probably try the regent as soon as I save up the zen again. However if you could make it work with the ECR T5U, that would be awesome, if not, that's ok, I'm close to finishing my dreadnought.

At this point, I would buy a T5 ship if and only if one of the following were true.

1) You were 100%, bet-the-farm sure that ship will not be getting a t6 version.

2) Said T5 had a special item (e.g. console) you wanted that can be used on other ships.

If you're really wanting to use one of the ships from the TV show/movies, rather than the T5 Galaxy or Regent/Sovvy, spend the extra 500 Zen and get the T6 version (Andromeda or Archon*, respectively).

*Is it the Archon that's available through the Zen store, or the Vizier? I get that wrong all the time.

In conjunction with A2B and/or Drain? I got nothing. But I'm using Majority/Minority because it's a neat trait, even with annoying graphics

Thinking about it now, I'm already pretty close to finishing my dreadnought build with just the Doff's and traits being all thats left, no point in getting a Tier 5 now. However this build will prove useful when I do get around to getting the T6 Andromeda and Archon once I'm done with my current project.

Though it would still be nice to give some love to my ECR T5U, for sentimental reasons that is.

A big flaw of the build is the lack of a debuff like Attack Pattern Beta this is very critical to have.

I'm gonna have to agree with this, that I in full conscious of that fact went for Torp Spread.

A part of my build disclaimer involves me having torps, I like playing with a ship which adds to my immersion to Star Trek + I don't have fascination of having a pure beam boat. I guess for those who don't have any such things - they could go all beams and have Beta up there, which would actually bring the DPS significantly up.

I like my torps though: Never gonna give them, never gonna let them down.
