The new BR mode is surprisingly good. Players are all on the same field as the overseer level doesn't affect the health, damage etc. that people throw out. There are still issues with the game, particularly in adventure mode, but they seem to have finally opened a new chapter and are getting the train back on the rails.
While no items carry back and fourth between BR & Adventure, you do earn a bit of adventure mode XP during it and any caps you get carry over too.
By far the biggest change compared to the survival mode PvP is that there are no legendary weapons or armour available, nor can you modify what you find, but when you loot armour you do get the full set.
The rewards you unlock do carry over into the other game modes, but these are cosmetic only. Sammy and I played a few matches the other night and we didn't so too badly at it. It certainly feels a lot more approachable than Fortnite.
