I like the looks of the costumes and i hope they are mix n' match like they really should be.
Cosmetic stuff is always good in my view, but these vanity shields seriously need to be easier to acquire for players. They'd be super popular if they were easier to get.

Well i feared it would be a lockbox ship, but i guess the cryptic which put the scimitar into the c store is not the same as current one.
The battlecruiser ship trait sounds really like fun since i use all 3 team powers with peak efficiency ship trait.

Legacy of romulus sto was a free to play game too.
There used to be interviews that the devs avoided romulan ships in lockboxes because they were planned as playable faction.
Now we have every single cardi and dominion ship as gamble box ship.

Also since when are things in the c store free?

That is untrue. You will get a JH ship to start and it's already T6 I believe or at worst T5-U.

You can very easily get C-Store ships without using money as well as Lockbox ships.

1. Earn Dil by playing the game.
2. Sell Dil for Zen in via Dil Exchange.
3. Use Zen to purchase ships in C-Store or Lockbox Keys and open boxes.

Or you can

1. Earn EC by playing the game.
2. Purchase ships off of exchange for EC

Or you can

1. Earn EC by playing the game.
2. Purchase lockbox keys off of the exchange
3. Open lockboxes

Or you can use the ships that they give you or you can use the ships that you can just purchase with Dil.

My point is this. The game is 100% free. Cryptic locks ZERO story content or end game content behind a pay wall. You can earn all reps and mission rewards without a dime. All expansions are 100% FREE. There are ways to acquire EVERYTHING in this game without spending a single dime which puts it above most major IP MMO's.

Cyptic is a business and I prefer this method for them to make money as opposed to a subscription or some other type of paywall that prevents the users from playing the content (i.e. SWTOR).

I think you simply misunderstand me.


I don't want the ships for free.
I want to support them. I want to buy iconic ships from the c store like they used to do years ago, thats why i mentioned lor because all romulan ships from the show and movies are in the c store.

I don't want to support gambling boxes. Yes, you can buy what you want from the exchange, but it doesn't change the fact that gambling is far more customer hostile than c store where i have a clear price tag and where most items are account wide.

They could survive the past years without putting any iconic main faction ships into lockboxes.

Gambling boxes got nothing to do with the survival of the game, it's just greed to maximize their profits.

Yeah that and the console on the Raider are the two things that interest me in this box...to bad they will be super expensive.
