It'll be the ones offered to Vets. Basically, any ship offered by your faction at the T5 Rear-Admiral Lower Half level that otherwise needed to be purchased with Dil, and obviously, only ones that can be upgraded to T5U

They’ve not said what the new captain ability is yet as far as as I’m aware, so I guess we’ll find out today.

So, anyone managed to get a couple of levels of experience yet to tell us what the new captain abilities are?

So, I logged on, cleared my Admiralty and Doffs projects and became level 65 without moving an inch. Very anti-climatic.

Sorry to say, I did not look around to see how Scarlett was made more awesome from the leveling.

I had sort of the same experience as Scarlett - logged in, lots of Spock telling me congrats as I completed DOFF and admiralty missions, and suddenly I'm back to the level cap. I did get a nifty admiralty ship and some Gamma DOFFs, but I haven't looked too closely to see what else happened. Finished all the the new missions yesterday, and was really quite pleased. Such a huge difference some professional voice acting makes!

You actually need surprisingly little XP to reach level 65, I made it without ever leaving Drozana station purely from the admirality system.

I suspect this may be Cryptic learning it’s lesson from the firestorm that erupted when Delta Rising added in the new levels as that was just like pulling teeth.

You get a duty officer pack, an epic admiral card ship and there’s a new ability amongst a few other bits but I’ve not yet tried it out.

There are the 3 new captain abilities:

Tactical: Vulnerability Assessment Sweep
Engineering: Intrusive Energy Redirection
Science: Co-opt Energy Weapons

And "Quark's Magnificent Seven" mission is easily the highlight of the expansion. It was awesome!

I slowly come to the conclussion that they just randomly increased when i look at story missions, foundry, queues while also looking at the different npc factions.

I had the same experience as leveling up as scarlett, I kinda like the new engineer skil, it useful against the Hur'q which have proven to be a rather enjoyable enemy to fight

After playing through the VIL missions on a Science and Engineering Jem'Hadar, I have to say that Single-Target DPS on ground missions is next to useless against the Hur'q, AOE is where its at, as I breezed through on the Science toon with AOE DOTs, but had signifigant trouble with Engineering, dying constantly if I wasn't always on the run circle strafing mobs into cloaked mines.
