That ship appears to be backwards. I'm all for having funky ships to clear these Hur'q pests out of the galaxy but that strikes me as a risky weapon layout outside of fighting the Hur'q.
Will you really benefit from having lots of aft facing guns, because even slotting mines to combat those tailpipe chasing swarmers there's still limits to cooldowns to deal with for kinetic weaponry. And when you fight anything else you're gonna be a bit stuck for guns, even using omnis will be limited to 2 per ships, turrets would be even less damage.

Well the console from the Gamma Quadrant rep improves mines...maybe that is why they made this ship?

If Cryptic are trying something new with this ships, especially as the Vorgons (sp?) have a reputation for using mines, they're really going to have to fix the mine mechanics to encourage people to use them. Too slow to activate and unless you have the special mine trait, they only follow targets for a short distance. Ridiculously long shared cooldown (at least on the ones that I remember).

Scenario:
"Captain, we're being pursued by two Hur'q ships."
"Perfect! Launch all mines."
"Aye sir, launching mines."
"Umm, Lt, I believe that I said launch ALL mines. Why do I only see one group?"
"Sorry captain, we can only use one launcher every fifteen seconds."
"What? That's ridiculous! Are they having power trouble down in the launch bay?"
"No sir."
"So we're the most advanced ship in the fleet and you're telling me that those Mark XV mine launchers cannot fire more than one group every 15 seconds? Okay. How long until the mines arm themselves?"
"Five seconds sir."
"But the enemy will be well out of range of the mines by then, who the heck designed these weapons anyway?"
"Reg Barclay sir!"
"Ah."

Also the spec ability for going in reverse. Very curious possibilities, though probably not overly viable.

As a note, one of the bonuses from one of the consoles (or the set, I can't remember) we're getting from the new mission "Home" boosts rear arc damage by 15% (90 degree arc). I assume that'll come in handy with this ship.

It's probably super wrong here... But I'm more excited about getting the ship's skin to apply to my other Vorgon than the ship itself. And all these new items are even more exciting as well! I'm not a baseball fan, but i love DS9 in every aspect of it and I'm very happy they brought them here!

I just also wish they would bring back the day/night cycle, I've been around for a short time so I never experienced it myself but I was watching videos on youtube yesterday and it was absolutely beautiful.
