    The tooltip for these says that only 1 is equipable, but I'm a little unclear what what they mean by "1." There's 3 varieties each of the phaser and disruptor variants. They aren't flooding the exchange and are somewhat spendy so I don't want to go buying any more than I could actually use.

    Omnibeams have a restriction attached to them - you can equip 1 beam from a mission reward and another which is either a crafted omni or a lockbox omni, but not both.

    To put it another way, you can have 1 beam that's part of an item set and another that's standalone for a maximum of 2. Therefore you only want to be purchasing 1 lockbox omni if that's what you're looking at.

    Buuuuut ... the Kinetic Cutting Beam is not a part of the equation. Apparently neither is the new Polaron weapon from the "Home" FE. So, it's quite possible to have 3 "omni-directional" weapons on a ship, you are just extremely limited to what the third beam could be.

    While you can indeed have the KCB, it’s not treated as a beam weapon and acts like a torpedo essentially, but coupling it with the console is an old favourite.

    The polaron beam being equippable alongside 2 others has been confirmed by the devs as a bug, so that’ll be getting patched out if it’s not already.
