    Hello everyone, I've decided to spend more time on my Alien-Romulan Klingon Aligned Tactical Toon so I pre-planned a build using a Klingon ship since i'll be honest the Romulan Ships are pretty lacking in what I'm looking for in regards to that mercenary/pirate feel. I decided to use this as an opportunity to try out What I have learned from Bridger, Dark and MACK and plan out my build for the ship.

    After doing some research it seems the two piece competitive set and fleet colony deflector are the way to go, and I decided on the terran warpcore since it's been reliable for me on my dreadnought but i'm open to suggestions.

    I'm pretty much using the same traits I'm using on my dreadnought and exploration cruiser with some changes and for Boff's I'm gonna try Using as many Nausicaans as possible and for boff abilities and Doff's I'm using the same layout that Bridger recommended for my dreadnought, Oh and also bridgers Tac/engineer skill tree guide Smile

    I haven't decided on specialization, maybe intelligence/Miracle Worker?

    so tips on what changes I should make, I haven't done anything yet so advice is much appreciated Smile

    I'm curious, what are you looking for that you feel the Romulan ships don't deliver?

    The Negh'Tev has the same bridge as the Andromeda and Yamato (and for that matter the new JH Dreadnought Cruiser), so it'll be pretty easy to find "comparables" to use for ideas.

    I'm curious, what are you looking for that you feel the Romulan ships don't deliver?
    The Roughneck Pirate Feel Smile, The Romulan ships look too Sleek for the Role Play I'm Planning. A Romulan-Human Hybrid whose human half is descended from a Maquis Survivor of the Dominion purge who found safety aboard a romulan merchant vessel. my character is a rough no nonsense brawler who makes an income from salvage but becomes a pirate when his colony is attacked by the Elachi and Tal'Shiar, and now fly's around in a Klingon ship found adrift that is not in any known ship database, almost as if it came out of nowhere, perhaps from another time Cool

    plus I just really like the Negh'Var Variant from All Good Things Tongue Out and I really don't wanna start a new klingon toon

    After doing some research I decided that the Negh'Var is a pretty poor choice for what i'm planning, so it's back to the drawing board. I'm still gonna use a klingon ship because they fit the aesthetic of the Character I'm building, but I want a ship that can take a beating and deal a beating. I'm also gonna have a 2nd look at traits, because I realized I'm just gonna be copying the same boff seating and trait layout from the Builds I already have which are basically the dreadnought bridger helped me with and the exploration cruiser Build MACK made for engineer's, I wanna make this one my own. It's gonna be a long project but worth the effort.

    If you're interested in Klingon ships, you will rarely go wrong with the Kurak (for battle cruisers) or the Mat'Ha (for raptors). Those are both outstanding ships.

    If you're interested in Klingon ships, you will rarely go wrong with the Kurak (for battle cruisers) or the Mat'Ha (for raptors). Those are both outstanding ships.
    i actually considered the Kurak, but I find I like ships with more console slots and the single science slot was a real killer to me.

    i have been looking at the Vastam though, I know its not Klingon but a Plasma Flavored build intrigues me.

    Admittedly the Mogh-class has terrible sci consoles. The Fleet-grade ship has 2, but honestly, now that we're in the post-plasma-console era, that doesn't matter much to a ship like the Kurak/Mogh.

    I'm not really into science consoles, I prefer universal, the extra slots are just extra space for me.

    Hm, I'm gonna make 2 builds on the skill planner with the vastam, 1 Plasma and 1 Disruptor and do the math to see which one is cheaper a disruptor based build or plasma.

    though truth be told disruptor probably has the edge in regards to variety and support via consoles.

    Hm, Alright I'll give it another look, times like this I wish there was a tool that calculated Power transfer rate, crit Chance and Crit Severity based on the character class, consoles and weapons used, make things a whole lot easier.

    Ok, so I made two possible builds one romulan and one klingon:

    They're pretty much based on what I've learned from Bridger and MACK, also since almost every other build I've seen uses the same set-up in regards to deflector, impulse engine and shield.

    I pretty much based it on getting at least 60-70% of my gear from Rep, mission and fleet. I admit I will be dependent on stuff from exchange and zen store such as consoles and traits.

    Thought's? Suggestions?

    Ok Guys, I need your opinion, I'm in a conundrum, I have already decided on a Build, my issue is I need the Timeline Stabilizer console from the Krenim Ship, and I have a Epic Phoenix Token I'm Saving for when they release that one winter event ship that has the trait I need for my dreadnought build, Cold-Hearted.

    Should I use the token to get the ship for my Rom-Alien Build or hold on to the token for my other ship and wait for the next phoenix event and press my luck?

    Ok, I have finalized my build, Using everything I have learned from Bridger, MACK, DARK, Reddit and Youtube, this is what I have come up With:

    I know its not perfect, but its open to refinement, i was originally going to go with a disruptor build but I am impatient, and that would have meant grinding through the Delta, Iconian, temporal, etc missions just to get to the mission with the nausicaan set and I would have had to do the mission 3 times. As you may have noticed my build is dependent on two ships and consoles from the lobi store, I figured, grind out the marks and save up the lobi for the consoles and use the EC I was gonna use for the Intel dreadnought on my engineer for the Astika Trait for my Tac and save up the EC for the Zahl and other traits. The other 3 ship traits shouldn't be a problem since one comes from the vastam and I'll wait for a ship sale for the other 2. i know I'm kinda being hypocritical with the Lobi and mark grinding but not being patient with the disruptor set but I just keep dying with my current ship and this is gear I can get without having to grind through missions Unamused

    So opinions, suggestions should anything be changed? Smile
