Hey all,

Just wanting to overall my Klingon char, and I am looking for episodes that are good for rewarding Disruptor Beams, Disruptor Dual Heavies and Photon Torpedoes - ideally, just needing to repeat a episode to get the gear, so I can bring up their weapons to a half-decent standard. This also includes the standard ship consoles to maximise my disruptor damage.

I am flying a Negh'tev T6 BC.

Note: I would do away with the dual heavies, if there is a console I could get that would provide me with a weapon that utilises the big cannons on the bottom of the Negh'var.

The only one that springs to mind for me is Echoes of Light in the lukari mission arcs, as the nausicaan disruptor set is pretty bad ass

Brushfire is another one you may want to take a look at. While the torpedo reward is a transphasic, that’s the mission with the House of Martok set and it includes an omnibeam disruptor.

The 2 piece bonus (omni beam and console) is so useful I have it on both my disruptor builds with the 3 piece nausicaan set. for the other disruptors you could always just get the fleet ones, or spend dilithium and get some from the Reputation stores once you've unlocked them (not sure which ones give disruptor energy type offhand)

"Blood of the Ancients" has the resonant disruptor set which includes a console that boosts disruptor damage.

"Second star to the right and straight on til morning" gives you the Plasma-Disruptor Hybrid beams.

How are those beams, are they pretty good?

Compared to normal Disruptor weapons with garbage mods, sure.
Within the context of investing zero resources into the weapons, they're pretty good.

The moment we start talking about spending dilithium (such as upgrading their mark or rarity) then no, they're garbage you shouldn't be wasting resources on.

Yeah, I should have been more specific I meant as a temporary use until I get the gear i'm looking for. i've seen others on youtube suggest them for budget builds but i'm dubious about doing a mission repeatedly just for a temporary item. But you pretty much answered it

Second Star seems like the best bet for me! I want to get fleet ones, but will take me far too long to do that, so I will use Second Star as a base line to at least bring everything up to the same level!

Fleet weapons used to be great because they were a good way to get a top tier set of mods, but with the re-engineering system that's not really a concern. The exclusive mod was never worthwhile, and that just makes them generic disruptors.

In the long run, when you get everything to Mk XV Epic the next "upgrade" is basically switching to better weapons entirely - and the top three currently are [Pen], Sensor-Linked (lockbox), or Spiral Wave ($$$). While the latter two are expensive, [Pen] is not. You just craft Mk IIs until you get one with [Pen], then upgrade and re-engineer as necessary.

At this point, Fleet space weapons are "I don't want to spend the resources for the good stuff, and I can't be arsed to grind missions for decent stuff". If you're grinding Second Star and get a full set of those, then just stick with those and slowly replace them with crafted [Pen] arrays.
