We haven't watched them yet but in the case of LoTR, the films have been remastered under the direct supervision of Peter Jackson, so I imagine there's going to be a noticeable difference. As The Hobbit films were filmed on more modern equipment I predict the difference will be less obvious but since upgrading to an HD BluRay player a couple of years ago to go with our HD TV (that we have since upgraded earlier this year) I have found that the picture and sound quality to be higher when watching a 4K disc as opposed to relying on the player's upscaling capabilities.

Hey Kin - just asking here before I try random in game LFF... but anyone interested in running Rift and Howling Pit with me sometime? Both have annoying mechanics stopping me from being able to solo, even though I should be massively over-leveled for them otherwise... (140 Champ).

For those who are interested: Rift final boss is surrounded by instakill water and kills the NPC with me (which wipes the raid) before I can do enough ranged damage to take him out... (so either healer or ranged dps would be awesome). Howling pit: tentacles that immobilize without any way to break (other than a second character killing the tentacle).

I’m pretty busy IRL atm but will try and log in soon. I have a level 107 minstrel and might be able to convince hubby to dust off his level 106 hunter. Failing that I’ll come on my main, a level 112 hunter should bring enough ranged DPS to the party.
