Well, we're just coming to the end of the CE event and we're straight into the Enter the Breach event. There's something that caught my eye however - it appears we can now part with cold hard cash or grind out dilithium to help pay our way through the events:

This bundle, available in the C-store, will give you ten Voth Operative Transmissions, and an Ultimate Tech Upgrade. Use it to give yourself a jump start, or to finish the project if you’re running out of time! For the first weekend of this event, the Bundle will be 20% off!

Though I used 12 characters on the CE event, I think one or 2 only for me this time around, the old fashioned way!

As hilarious as the idea of laser-armed cyber-dinosaurs is, I think I'm just going to skip this one. I'm just finishing one three-week grind event (got a late start on the CC one b/c of some end-of-summer family vacations), an my appetite for immediately jumping right into another one is low. I could probably scrape up the 800 Z for the jumpstart thing, but I think instead I'll just not participate, recharge the figurative batteries, and get ready for next time.

Yeah it looks like a fair deal to allow all players to do events, for a price.

Still a bit odd but i doubt just anyone will be buying those tokens when there's really no need. It';s merely another option to the players to fit their gaming lifestyle.

Hahaha, and on September 28th they're going to run the Mirror Invasion Event for 3 weeks. And after that one we have Age of Discovery upon us. I bet all my Latinum on this prediction.

This time on the Breach I'll do the daily grind on 1, max 2 characters only or else my gaming motivation suffers a core breach.

They say the Event Accelerator can only be purchased once per account, does this mean I get the 10 items for every character or only on one? If for every character it is worth a consideration.

Uh, yeah, I guess? Hell, if you think about it, tonight when my CC project finishes, that'll be 1/4 of that total right there (which granted, I'll still need to refine, but I'd have time for that).

I've got 4-6 characters running Admiralty at all times, 2 of which are always focused on the Klingon track (and if they get the TOD while still having assignment slots left over, they do the Ferengi stuff, too). If I've got the energy for it (some nights, not always), I can throw another 4 or so chars into the mix to do Marauding runs across the Beta Quadrant, racking up Contraband to cash in with Security Officer at Ganalda Station.

I know there are others who can do more, but as far as what I can do, I rarely feel like I'm wanting for resources, y'know?

So, now we know what Cryptic are doing to get around those crafty Belgians and their lockbox law.... ACCELERATOR PACKS! I'm amazed that they haven't tried the old Neverwinter trick where you can buy a token to double your XP up to a certain amount. Cryptic could do it with STO by pinning it on the fact that you'll earn Spec points twice as fast up to 15 or 20. Can you imagine if they start selling Rep levels? Max out your Temporal Rep for only 1000 Zen! People would scramble for them, especially when Tier 6 rep comes in.
