There's two, the Intel-based Archon, and the Command-based Vizier. Both have a turn rate of 7.

Excelsior is actually tied with the Sagittarius Temporal Cruiser with a turn rate of 8, but they are beaten by the Kelvin Connie (11.5), T6 Connie (11), Reliant (11), and Walker (10)

Yeah, the Reliant is a nimble little minx. I'm > <- that close to using an ALC as my main ride for a while on one of my Federation characters. My Tac has been flying an Endeavor-class for quite a while, but the most recent Breach run reminded me that the Oddys are, well, they'll never be called nimble ships, y'know?

I've always liked the design of the Excelsior even though i never thought much of it in the game.
In fact the TMP era ships have always been my favourite Federation ships, they just feel more real than all the later stuff. Can't really say why, perhaps it's because of the crew and stories i associate with them that i love too.

This! I've thought it, but never put it to words. For STO, it's the only reason I'm "working" for the TLC.

I think we can all agree that the Excelsior LOOKS like a logical successor to the Constitution-class, or least that style of ship design.
