    So yeah, evidently, my Engi-Hologram has a recursive algorithm. He has one ability set to Autofiring!
    He won't use it. I can't use it manually. If I switch it to another ability, it's fine. If I switch it back, Nope.exe
    I play on PC. Supposidely this is a console only thing.
    Other toons in the same slot, without specialization, with the same... everything except race (skills, etc..) can use that ability on that Lt. slot.

    Yup.

    Edit: Not sure why the image is so small looking.. anyways, I just hit 40 on this new DSC toon, if that has anything to do with it

    Have you tried slotting another BOFF in with the same ability to see if it works?

    For myself though, I don't rely on ability auto-firing other than for weapons.

    You may want to consider using a keybind that activates a whole tray sequentially by spamming a keypress. You can set that up easily using STO Keybind. https://sourceforge.net/projects/sto-keybind/

    I use Tray 5 and 6 for this purpose, having Tray 5 have all abilities I want active during combat (Attack Patterns, EP2W, Red-Matter Gen, Tactical Team etc) arranged in order of importance bound to my Space Key (which also activates firing all engery weapons), and have Tray 6 having all my defensive cool-downs (Evasive, Science Team, EP2S, Engineering Team, Hazard Emitters, etc) bound to the Tilde Key (~).

    It's a set up that's served me well for a long time.

    I do something similar but with three keybinds (I may need to go to four with all these new Universal Consoles I bought). I use the NumPad1, 2, and 3 for mine. Weapons on 1 (tray 8 ), boosts and modifiers on 2 (tray 9), healing and BOff mods on 3 (tray 10).
    Then in tray 1 are long cooldown abilities at 4, 5, and 6; team buffs at 7, 8, and 9; and the Hur'q live under my thumb at 0.




    I have never seen BOff ability autofiring on PC. Not even in error.

    If you slot the ability in a tray, can you fire it off from there?

    BTW: The image size is just fine. The forum software shrinks it for the post, but opening the image in a new tab takes it back to full size. It's glorious. You should ALT+F12 it and screencap it again (Windows key + Print Screen will autosave the screencap to %windrive%:\Pictures\Screenshots or %windrive%:\Users\%username%\Pictures\Screenshots). I'm sure Scarlett would love to see it in the Star Trek Online - Screenshot Thread.
