    So I've been having an issue with Star Wars Battlefront 2 on Origin - the game won't launch.
    Tonight I contacted EA using their live chat, and below is the transcript from it. Enjoy.

    Saurabh Kumar: As I can see you are contacting us regarding the launching issue for the game Star Wars Battlefront 2. I know how inconvenient it can be when your are not able to launch the game and facing the issue . I will surely look into the details and would provide the best possible resolution for it
    Saurabh Kumar: Could you please be more specific about the issue what happened actually to understand the issue better ?

    you: I click on Play in Origin, Origin minimises and my status is updated to "playing Star Wars Battlefront 2"
    you: Then after approximately 20-40 seconds, Origin become the main window focus again, and my status changes back to "online"
    you: I have tried to repair my installation using Origin's Repair option. This did not change anything.
    you: I have also deleted the "Star Wars Battlefront II" folder from My Documents, which contained a Settings folder and 3 others

    Blizzard support is woeful at best. Half of them ignore issues you are reporting and the rest are not trained.

    My experience with EA support has been pretty good though in comparison, especially when transferring accounts and email addresses between Origin and non-Origin games which were all published by EA.

    I never had any bad experience with the Blizzard support. My BNet got hacked twice in 2 days in a row by the same hacker, and both times, after request the wow accounts were bannrd (for the time being) until it came to an result.

    Even tho, I never got an answer on how someone was able to hack my account even with a physical authenticator. And on the 2nd hack, a fake id card was able to go through the security measurements.

    Blizzard banned my Diablo 3 account a few weeks after launch for absolutely no valid reason. They banned thousands and thousands of users claiming exploits of the ingame market which allowed users to buy/sell ingame items for real world money at the time.

    The vast majority of those banned, including myself, had never even used the market. It took three years to get my account restored and even longer to find out what had happened.

    I did go back to D3 as I'm a big fan of the franchise and even bought the expansion packs, but Blizzard support can go rot in hell as far as I'm concerned.

    Yes it was a while ago, and no the ingame auction house was an absolute disaster; but Blizzards handing of the situation was abysmal. They could not have done much worse.
