So I just got 3 months of Omega for lols (since it was like $20), was curious if this place (corp) was still a thing, I mean I could just chill in that weird NPC corp it throws you in after character creation but eh.

Ideally you should move away from high security space (NPC controlled areas) and head to null or really really low security space.
Its often the safest areas if you are in a large corp/alliance which controls a few areas. Easy money and safe from most PVP gankers.

As a delayed response to your question, Heyallo, the UFP's corp activity was eaten away by continuous war decs but now that the requirements for war decs have changed I've volunteered as an EVE Support Officer for SFHolo so that I can start bringing people back to Kassa if they want.

Anyone wanting to get their characters back into Kassa please submit a new request through the In-Game Invites form

Hopefully the patch changes will fix the issues with the activity we lost through war decs, those were a bigger killer than the gankers.
