I'm preparing to start a desk build project. One of the key things that I plan to accomplish with this is mounting my monitors on adjustable arms, mounted to the desk. One is a 32" flat screen, the other is probably going to be a 40" 4K flat screen. So I'm probably looking at about 25lbs on the new one, @ 15 - 20 on the 32". Anyone know of a good site to purchase? Either dual or 2 singles, but definite best possible price. Many thank in advance.

You're probably looking for two single arms. Most multi-arm mounts only hold up to 27" or 32" monitors. If you want to keep the price down. Multi-arms that I found that can hold a 40" monitor come in at around $250+.

Amazon is always a good place to start looking. Find models and prices that fit then hit The Google. The thing about swing-arm mounts (even fixed pole mounts) is that manufacturers typically make more than one style. Dual, quad, single, all from the same source.

Newegg has something from VIVO that might work. It says it holds two 38" monitors, but if one is 32" and the other is 40", you MIGHT be able to get it to work.

I would recommend, whether you go single or dual arm, is to get a grommet mount, not a clamp. Yes, you'll have to drill holes, but there's no chance of slippage, and it shouldn't wobble as much.

Thanks for the advice! Will check recommendations out.

Another thing to consider is your chair.

I've spent near 200 Euro on ones from furniture shops / Ikea claiming to be good computer chairs. They thend to last a year and then the leather starts cracking up etc.

The best I've every gotten has being this one from amazon from the GTX range of gaming chairs. I'd adjusted my desk to be higher than normal off the ground so I could fit it above 2 other desks and get it were I wanted. The chair was height adjustable and larger than others at the time. It made the desk work.

I spent near 400 on it 3 or 4 years ago. It's still going strong.

Yes, I agree with the chairs. Mine was also over £400 back then good few years ago, still going strong too, it's not a gamer chair though, rather one of those chiro inspired / tested office chairs. Designed to hold up to 150kg, to be used 24/7, quite adjustable, good for back. First chair I have no problems falling asleep in for several hours and waking up without pain (which happens way more often than I'd like to admit Big Grin )

In terms of monitor-arms, some with clamps aren't that bad really. I have a six-screen setup (6x22") with clamp, and that has been rock solid for years now, no loosening and wobbling around
