[Update] - New Character Creation Screen

Ambassador Kael announced in a 30min livestream with UI Artist Joanna Gianulis that there will be a new character creation screen coming to STO PC version tomorrow. Next to this update, everyone will receive a free character slot.

I mean, it just looks like a few boxes have been moved around, and thumbnails added to me, the mechanics of it look like they work the same. It doesn't seem like a massive change, but I won't turn down a free character slot.

I can't say that this seems to be better than the old one was but ok, however I think the missing trait information is a big no no.

No, they can sit and gather dust for as long as you want them to. The Cardassian I'm contemplating will likely be benched until I see where this "we eventually want all T6 ships to level" idea goes. Might be nice to use a Cardie Intel ship all the way up.

It's a really great creation screen, but they forgot to add an Undo/Redo function.

I do agree. While there might be complaints from hardcore players or whatsoever, I can understand why they made that revamp. Before the revamp, most of the stuff was cluttered on one screen like faction, race, race info, career and that was just overwhelming. This update is for a better new-player experience.

I'd wish there would be like a breadcrump at the bottom where you can just skip back from like the customization back to the faction selector.
