Something I suggested to another Canadian Black Sheep of the family--not apple. Black was after all something Steve Job's loved, especially later in Life, when he and Bill later started to develop, more a kin or friendship of sorts. I had in fact mailed Steve Jobs on 1-2 occasions, and may have even spoken to Bill Gates but that is a matter of debate. The point is Blackberry also loved the color Black, as do I as denoted in my reply to Haseo's signature.
Black Sheep was 'likely' the inspiration for Steven &/or Blackberry Founder's. In fact there a fitting tribute to Steve by Apple that shows the two on stage, Steve in his traditional Black Shirt, and Bill Gates in his more typical White, denote Steve also early in his Career also use to wear White, even a shirt & tie in fact.
Wikipedia describes Black Sheep, "In the English language, black sheep is an idiom used to describe an odd or disreputable member of a group, especially within a family. The term stems from the genetic effect in sheep whereby a recessive gene occasionally manifests in the birth of a sheep with black rather than white coloring; these sheep stand out in the flock and their wool was traditionally considered less valuable."
Yet as I told a daughter to another friend of mine from Australia just last night in fact. Black Sheep are actually very rare, and often criticized, yet they 'often' struggle at times to find their place in this world; because as Steve would say they think 'Different'. She was trying to discover what she wanted to do as she's in Grade 12, so I spent some considerable time talking to her last night to offer some wisdom.
In closing I shared a prototype with her I developed several years back, that was sent to Blackberry, just like I had done 1-2 times with Steve. It's surprising Apple hasn't considered a friendly merger with Blackberry, only now since Microsoft which I admit I show a little bias toward even before it surpassed them in Market Cap. But I've very 'open' as John Cleese would say.
To make a long Story Short here is the image, and it shares 'something' in common with
