So glad this got pulled from my system oh so long ago or it would just tick me off. I agree the pack idea of the "chance" to get just goes in with a long line of money grab plots. But people pay it and keep doing it so why stop now. I think what gets me the most is that they are major hero ships and should be made available in the C Store or awarded away in some ingame event. I have bashed my fair share of Discovery but for the D7 alone am pissed . If I still played the game off course.

I personally really have no interest in the Connie. I'd rather have the Mirror Crossfield, anyway. Annorax is another sweet choice, although I'd use the Crossfield more often. I think adding it as a "choice" box like the Infinity box is a stroke of genius.

I'll use R&D materials for crafting regardless, so I'll likely try my luck at some 4-pack boxes and if I win, great- if not, I'll still have the mats.

As far as sending a message- I doubt seriously there's going to be a change in Lootbox policy from any developer anytime soon. It's been going on for years, and reject it as we may, they just keep adding more to the paywall to deepen the divide even further. It's like trying to get employers to raise wages- they'll likely just keep increasing costs when it happens to avoid cutting into their profits.

I could go on and on... but we're far from that idyllic Star Trek Universe when it comes to RL. Perhaps before the end of my lifetime I'll see a shift and be glad when it happens- a world where we're no longer fighting over resources and realize we're all in the same boat and eventually not only end up in the same place, and we can't take it with us.

100% this. It’s a brilliant ship and one of the best out there. In fact all of the DSC Federation ships are fairly decent and have some awesome looks to boot.

Bridger called it! It was an R&D ship & as far as I'm concerned the backlash to Cryptic's decision is a long time coming. I would pay to buy it from the c-store. But I'm not going to plunk down a ridiculous amount of money to try and obtain this ship. I've played the lottery twice for starships and was lucky enough not to spend over $200 total to get the ones I wanted (that's combined btw between the two).

But enough is enough. To quote Lord Doomcock "without respect, we reject." I'm feeling pretty disrespected right about now.

as much as I want the new Constitution class, I don't think I am going to through out 1.5 billion EC on it...maybe it will come down in price; doubtful, but there is always hope LOL. Ive spent way to much on keys to sell back when I bought the Universe class, Kelvin Constitution class, Crossfield class, Engle class, Verne class, Klein class and Paradox class ships..

and not to mention, the amount I spent to get that Vizier class to go with the Arcon class, just so my Sovereign class could have a battle cloak LOL

Meh, I having far too much fun watching things explode with my Presidio minelayer build which isn't even optimised with gold level equipment, so I'll concentrate on upgrading that rather than blow a tonne of cash trying to get the new Connie.
