Yeah IF you want to sell promo packs i'd hold them a while and let the prices go up; probably until just after the promo ends. Those ships are highly desirable despite the rage so they will be worth a metric tonne for a long time.

The alternative is to sell them now for a middle of the road price and bank on people wanting them in bulk volumes; you'll probably make a quick buck of those sort of people.

I wish it took more than .5 seconds to open a pack. It's bad enough to open and not get the goods you look for, but to have them be shot in under a minute, lol. ouch.

If... by numbers petrarch gave me it takes 115 promo boxes to get enough EC to outright buy her. That is at current prices 230 US Dollars? Did I do my math right?

If that is right I am... tempted to try my luck with the 12 promo boxes I can afford even though Petarch said no never do that.

TBH, you'd do better to get the Elite Services Starter Pack (if you haven't already), or one of the other 2k Zen Starter Packs. You can pull a T6 or some inventory slots and costume unlocks and other neat-o stuff. Stuff you'll use BEYOND the release of the latest Gamble Ship.

It is a fundamental flaw in thinking that the pets on a Carrier are the main source of DPS, they are nothing more than an additional asset to your ship so adding traits that buff pets will ultimately hurt the main ship.

I didn't meant just the Carrier, but I also meant other toys as well, like Kemocite and the like. I'd personally want one of the healing starship traits from either Nanite Repair or the using pet launcher causes heal.

If I said it like I only meant the Carrier ones, my bad. I did mean all the toys that I would put on it. That would probably cost me 2b. I will say though that ships like this just make me want to stick to a single character now. Rather than have the multiple ones I do run.

I didn't know, that's why I said (if you haven't already). I'm right there with you on the LTS and the dearth of 'I need that' Zen ships. I'm about to be awarded a free T6 ship, and I can't figure out which one I want. The honest answer is, "None of them. That's why I haven't bought them."

The only ships I want are both Lobi. That's about 600 keys. I'm not doing that. I can't do that. So I buy things I can use.

Still, if you want to try your luck with 12 R&D Boxes, I wish you well in your endeavor! If you want the EC, sit on them. The price will go up.

Those would be worth at least 2.4 billion EC on the exchange. Are you talking about scratching up the actual lobi?

To use our giveaway ship as an example, I've seen those on the exchange for about 200m at the bottom end, sometimes a hair lower. Assuming an average of 4.2m EC per key, that would work out at roughly 48 keys to cover the costs. The same keys would generate roughly 190-200 lobi on average.

The lobi ships are essentially a by-product of the lockbox and promo market, something of a loss leader. They're sold for far less than the cost needed to generate them in the first place. Realistically, the only time the average, regular player should be opening boxes for lobi is if they're after an item that can't be traded, like the ground weapons.

Good point. Thanks for the tip. Ill get another bunch and hold on to them for a rainy day. As for now my priority is the Mirror Escort carrier for the SAD trait. If i sell everything i have on the exchange right now ill have the EC for one. After that trait i dont really have anything i feel i need pronto. So ill sell those promo boxes later when the price goes up and save the EC i make for whenever something new pops that i want. Carriers seems to be up my alley in general so while the DiscoConnie has two hangar slots im not feeling i really need it that badly. By the time i have 1.5 Billion EC the next hyped ship will be released probably

I'm looking at the straight Lobi purchase. I think they're each 900 Lobi, so with an average of 3 per lockbox...

I don't know what they're going for on the exchange. I could check.

Ship 1: 175,000,000 EC (Much cheaper than I thought.) There are 10 available for less than 200M.
Ship 2: 189,000,000 EC (Also Much cheaper than I thought.) 13 for under 200M.

Hmmm... 364,000,000 for both. That's only 87 keys, nine 10-Packs, 10,125 Zen, or $100. Still too rich for my blood. But it's better than sixty 10-Packs. (67,500 Zen, $600)

No way am I that lucky to get it off just a few packs so I'll pass. I saw one flying around in Defence of Starbase One last night and to be honest, I wasn't that impressed with the ship's performance but that could have been down to a poor build. Between a science ship throwing grav wells and plasma storms around like confetti and something like two dozen mines flying around melting everything in sight, he didn't have much of an impact on events.
