    Hi guys. PSA here. I played SB1 and Argala today. You no longer get ship XP at the time you kill a ship. You now instead get a large chunk of XP at the time of warping out of SB1 and Argala. A dev confirmed you get the xp at the time of warp out (even at 4/5 so it's actually not bad like I thought. Apparently it was changed because constant ship xp increments caused lag. I checked the most recent patch notes and this wasn't mentioned at all so I wanted to make everyone aware of this. Thanks.

    For those interested, upon completing SB1, I got a large chunk of XP along with my marks that pushed me up to T1 with 1406 xp remaining to hit T2. Upon completing Argala, I got another large chunk of XP to get me to T2 with 2967 xp remaining to hit T3.

    Yet Another EDIT: I've been leveling ships on and off today using a combination of SB1 for Discovery Marks grind and Argala 4/5. No issues really. No noticeable difference in the speed of XP grind.

    So after so many years of game's operations, out of blue, now they realize Argala is cause of lag? Doesn't seem to add up.


    I guess as long we get our XP, it's cool.

    Argala was always more lagy than the rest of the game.
    At the same time it never affected general game lag so much though. The rubberband we get now days since Discovery updates is ridiculous.

    I guess it remains to be seen how much over-all gameplay lag has been fixed.

    Lucky indeed, I've been in instances where powers don't activate, my ship/toon suddenly bounces back to where it was a few seconds ago, worst is the gates during the flying high event on Risa. They don't acknowledge that you've flown through until maybe 30 seconds after you've passed them.

    It did seem better last night but, by the reports that keep coming up on r/STO, the issue is far from fixed.

    You are, indeed, lucky. I rubberband so badly at times that not only do I not continue moving forward, my toon actually runs - RUNS - backward to the point of L.O.S.

    I have impulse tails thanks to my engine selection, and there are times where the tails look like the road stripes in a School Zone, approaching a Zebra Crossing!

    As for the XP? As long as the numbers are the same, I don't care when they're credited.
