Vulcans do believe in love, even if they control their emotions. In that regard, I feel comfortable saying my first two days with my new Fleet Advanced Light Cruiser [T6] has been, as must always be the case with newlyweds, a satisfying honeymoon period.
I do things quirky, and this isn't really a build yet, per se, as I'm just getting this boat on the water and testing my sea legs, but so far it's a bonafide... pleasant ride. And though this is a forum where the stats and screenshots are traded, I just wanted to record this log entry as our ship's journey gets underway. Most of my Star Trek Online career has been with science vessels, until my recent and overlong stay in a Galaxy class, (a T5-U, thank you very much). I find this return to more maneuverability and more science most gratifying.
Okay, my keen senses are picking up on your insatiable if unspoken queries, and so I will answer what I mean by "quirky." For an example, my ship, as every ship since I first obtained the weapon, is equipped with a Hargh'peng Torpedo Launcher. You heard me. I've spent oodles upgrading and upgrading it. it's slow but it's accurate and pretty nice damage. Oh I know, its most defining feature isn't even applicable now, there being no Doomsday machine lurking behind the next star cluster. I'm sure some day I'll have to part with it for maximum efficiency, and far be it from this pointy-eared, green-blooded stone to indulge in sentimentality, but I like it.
See? Quirky. The crew also welcomed a new Lukari science officer, who seems to be working out just swell.
So if you see the U.S.S Lejeune flying around in a gleaming Reman shield, that's us. We haven't worked out all the bugs or finished off the loadout, but we're quite a crew. Also we have taco night on Tuesdays, so ... not too shabby.
