[Patch Notes] - 08 AUG 2019

This is an ISA run with BO II and at least my Beams are working that way it is the same build that I used on the top except for BO III I am using BO II

Won't be home for a few hours, what's BO changed to now that it's live?

Also any idea what the Advanced Phasers been changed to?

This are some quite good changes for the game.

Beam Overload has undergone significant changes:
○ Beam Overload now significantly increases the damage of all Beam attacks for 10 seconds, instead of only 1.
○ The Superweapon Ingenuity Starship Trait now increases the duration of Beam Overload for 5 seconds.

The weapon proc from Advanced Beam Arrays now grants a scaling buff to Advanced Beam Critical Severity, instead of Bonus Damage.

Some Beams are working with BO II others not others are working with BO III others are not this is the reply from Spartan:

Thank you for the report. We have found some weapons that the new Beam Overload is not working correctly with, and a fix is on the way for them.

Dang, I was kinda hoping they'd update the Annorax and the Paradox too since they're temporal ships and they don't even have any temporal boff seating.

Right, but I was wondering what the numbers were to get an idea of the change.

Though I'll be home in an hour or so, and will find out for myself.

I was afraid of this but I'm not the least bit surprised, I was hoping Cryptic would do something good and buff other beams to bring them closer in line with Advanced beams, but alas....they nerfed the advanced beams in a typical Cryptic move.

But I can understand them with the changes made to Beam Overload they would have become way to OP.

Even in this broken state its pretty OP XD

I obliterated everything in Hive Onslaught with them beam overloads in a Galaxy!

The night before the patch, as well as the day before that, I parsed 118k.
Last night I parsed 120k, so it doesn't seem nerfed too hard.

If you have a lot of crit you'll be okay I imagine...but I don't really go for the pure crit stacking because I don't focus completely on my DPS. I'm a hybrid player, I try to do decent DPS but also mix things up a bit and don't worry about being purely optimal.

Well the changes to Flight Deck Carriers are pretty bonkers.

Using a Cardassian Intel FDC I can have 4 frigates out at once, and even though the Yukawa's are a bit crappy they are still feeling stupidly overpowered and just like I've got too many good guys helping me.
Even if their DPS is nothing major sometimes they soak up incoming fire and can screen me from enemy heavy torps and FAW spam. Lord only knows what it'll look like if they give true carriers a buff like an extra hanger.
