They locked the additional Georgio skin for the Walker Light Exploration Cruiser behind requiring you to buy a specific pack, and that ship you had to initially buy from the Lobi Store. So locking the Galaxy class skin behind something like that isn't too far away from being a possibility.

That said, the previously mentioned "torpedo bay" mechanic that works like the experimental weapon slot is a cool idea! Most of these ships had the capability to shoot torpedeos both front and aft (like the Galaxy), so 360 is possible!

With the talk of the fly the ships you've always wanted and the teaser showing the various Enterprises, I'm starting to wonder if they're going to do an anniversary mega pack that contains the various classes. If they are, I expect it'll not be a cheap pack, but I'm probably wrong.

Yeah me too. In all honesty, if that's the case and they are in the Z-Store and each of the hero ships are getting model revamps, I would be happy to pay big bucks/quids for a mega bundle. I would be more hesitant if they were in lockboxes or promotions, but I hardly doubt (and hope) that Cryptic would do that to existing Z-Store ships.

But..but..you responded to Bridger's post a few post after he said that. Just messing with you. Yeah I hope it is part of the 10th anniversary. I LOVE the Galaxy class and was super excited about the last update they gave it but now it is due for another one and I am even more excited with this one due to how much detail current ships are getting.

If they, and I know they probably are doing a revamp of the Galaxy, Cryptic should include a level in their already galaxy bridge pack that has a level that allows you to go to the battle bridge... I mean c'mon... can someone whisper this in their ear????

Yes, yes, yes, yes! Totally down with the battle bridge! Even though its probably just a re-vamp of the existing Galaxy model, would be pretty nice if they went all out and added a few extra bits here and there. I really would love a Generations bridge, but I doubt that will happen.

I agree, the "Best of Both Worlds" Battle Bridge; it wasn't used much, but it was enjoyable to see the ship separate for a special mission. If Cryptic was going to go to all the effort to make a full TNG bridge pack in STO, it "should" include the 'Battle Bridge' also...

So, were nearly in 2020 and the 10th Aniversary is just a few weeks away. I've spent quite a lot of effort and time on my current T6 Fleet Galaxy on my main, and I really cant wait for this revamp.

Knowing my luck though, this new revamp may well be a new variant all together. Typical since I've fine tuned my current build lol. We shall see I guess.

Comparison between Cryptic new picture and the existing model.

Call me weird, but I seem to always stare at this picture that was teased on a daily basis as I am super hyped to see the whole model of what she looks like. I do feel however, that we may be looking at a RnD variant. I dont know why but I have a funny feeling were going to have a pretty OP variant in either lockbox or RnD, and in a way makes perfect sense.

In a recent Priority One podcast (https://priorityonepodcast.com/) the lead producer Andre Emerson mentions towards the end of the interview that they are currently planning on a new way of "acquiring" rare ships such as Lockbox and possibly RnD ships. He mentions that they have a "interesting" coming with the Anniversary that will hopefully make these ships more palatable to the player base. Whether this means they will becoming account unlocks or that we are getting a new method of working towards a T6 ship I dont know, but either way I am intrigued. Also, im sure were going to be getting a Picard themed lock box pretty soon, so wouldn't surprise me if the next lockbox is a TNG themed, with a screen accurate and full specialization themed Galaxy class variant.

Hopefully Im wrong and its just a revamp or a Zen Variant or pack, as that I will certainly buy in a heartbeat. Guess we will find out in a few weeks.

I don’t think Cryptic would put the Galaxy class in a RnD pack the players will actually go into full meltdown. Especially since the Galaxy Class has been available since STOs launch. I can understand the cynicism though, I wouldn’t put it past them. Cryptic relies on the games whales to make bank, they’ve managed to bleed some whales dry, to the point where they quit the game.

My predication is this: The model revamp will be available regardless, IF there is a new “Hero” spec or whatever, it’ll be a premium ship. If its CSTORE Cryptic will make major bank.

The MuDD store is where the “rare” ships will appear randomly entitled “procured x ship” for 14k or so zen then be replaced by a different option.
