My predication is this: The model revamp will be available regardless, IF there is a new “Hero” spec or whatever, it’ll be a premium ship. If its CSTORE Cryptic will make major bank.

The MuDD store is where the “rare” ships will appear randomly entitled “procured x ship” for 14k or so zen then be replaced by a different option.

Oh that's a good point. In fact, I can actually see that happening! Would make perfect sense to have Mudds market offer a very rare hero variant of the Galaxy class.

So just a quick update to this thread as I was too excited to leave it. It appears that we are in fact receiving a new "variant" of the Galaxy class. This was revealed on the new RPG adventures from the same team that brought us Shield of Tomorrow. I shall leave an image that was posted on my twitter feed.

Lol me too. The only issue is that I've not seen the stream yet and I noticed a comment which could either be related to the new type of ship for the RPG show or it's in relation to the Galaxy revamp tease that was also posted by Thomas Marronie lol. Im hoping its in regards to the STO tease, but I've not listened to the stream yet as Im at work and just going by this comment lol.

Ooooh I really hope they fix the deflector dish textures, they weren’t quite right and had this weird untextured part near the glow. Its always bugged me, but I’m stoked!

So after a reply on twitter about the Galaxy class variant, it appears were getting a completely new model type called the Ross class, which Thomas Maronie has designed for the Clear Skies RPG, and it will also appear in STO, so we have the teased revamp and also a new type of Galaxy class coming!!

Totally wasn't expecting that, but Im all for it!!

Im with you on that. If its a new variant, we could possibly get a new MW specialized ship. Kind of now makes sense that we were teased with a new revamp of the original Galaxy class.

Its a new ship, a Ross class starship, first of her class. Its at the end of the stream, and apparently a Galaxy class variant.

At the end of the stream they reveal the ship plaque and apparently its a Ross class starship, first of her class. I also reckon it will be a Zstore ship, but I guess we will find out in a week or so.

cool about the new galaxy variant.... though it's hard to picture any variant other than the Venture and Andromeda classes.... hopefully it wont look hideous, the other variants or like the Resolute... or the Archon.....
