For those who might not have figured it out themselves (and who might not enjoy endless ornament grinding in WW, if you do - then never mind!) - with a few alts it takes only a few minutes a day to collect hundreds of ornaments over the course of the event. Afaik, there are three areas where DOFF assignments show up that grant ornaments: WW, First City (KDF)/Spacedock (Fed) and Academy.
Login, use the event tab to warp to WW, pick up the DOFF assignments there.
Talk to Q, get him to warp you home, check the current map DOFF list for any ornament assignments.
You should be able to transport directly to your Academy area, pick up any DOFF assignments there.
