Heya, I've just jumped onboard to find good peeps to chat with while I hit things with a lightsaber in SWtOR. I'm an old school PC gamer who started out gaming when they came on cassette tapes, spend my days helping students and some of my nights studying for a degree in English.
Been a Trek fan since the early 80s when my dad sat me down in front of original re-runs, although my heart really belongs to DS9 (Into the Pale Moonlight still gives me shivers). Love all things nerdy and celebrated my 30th birthday with a trip to SDCC.
Hope to see peeps in game

I think it's cool that your dad got you into Star Trek as mine did the exact same. I remember when I was a kid he'd be watching TNG on BBC Two and I'd sit with him and watch. It was something that we could do together and he also built models of the ships (I still have his model of the Ent-D sitting in my living room).

I've never understood how that worked! *LOL* I remember back in the day seeing those cassette tapes, but I cant remember seeing anyone actively use them.
