I recently got the T6 bajoran Interceptor from an account unlock event. I have been shaky with Tactical Builds in the past because I never seem to find the right amount of damage and hull to do anything before exploding.

Anyone got a build for it? If so would really appreciate it because I really want to do well with this ship.

Dangit, I keep seeing the quad phaser cannons and I really want them for my build too, but it seems the only way to get them is to spend 1500 zen on an otherwise pointless T4 ship :/ Guess I will have to wait three months...

Until I get my main (FED/phasers) on a vaguely respectable DPS level, my alts will just have to make do with whatever squirt guns they can scrounge from drops

Solace, I see you have a torpedo in your build. I have gone pure cannon on mine so far. The consoles are easier to get, the damage is more focused, and you only need 1 tactical cmdr slot. The BO needs are much easier, too. Is there a reason you went that way?

To answer the questions in order:

Lecivius - I use a torpedo because simply put torpedoes are broken and OP, plus I like running one and that particular torpedo gives a nice shield debuff to targets hit.

TonV - No I don't use it for the set bonus as I only have the torpedo, see reason above. Additionally you could put a Dark Matter Quantum Torpedo from the Disco rep if you prefer.

I did not use torps on my Escorts until recently. I got the Disco Dark Matter torp and tried it out. With Torp Spread III, they will ELIMINATE those buzzy little ships that take up valuable cannon cycles. Then I found an Ultra Rare Wide-Angle Advanced Inhibiting Chroniton Torpedo Launcher Mk XV [CrtD][CrtH][Dmg]x2 (Tier III Gamma Rep). Lay on some Colony Tactical consoles at Epic Mk XV, and those spunky torpedoes will take out small cruisers.

So don't sleep on a torp or two in a TAC build. Especially with 5 forward slots. Four Dual Heavy Cannons and a torp will do very well.

My question is, "Why take out the Voice of the Prophets for the Flak Shot?" I have both, and I prefer the VotP.

Personally I'd recommend running preferential targeting (T6NX trait, hopefully you have the legendary pack) with Cold Hearted, Calm Before the Storm, Over-powered and over-gunned (Legendary defiant trait) with Emergency Weapon Cycle.

Or you could run Promise of Ferocity in its place if you don't have some of the legendary traits.
