    Thanks guys Smile its not so much HOW to keybind (the guide above / app are pretty clear) but more WHAT to bind... Especially since Im not looking to wring every last bit of DPS out of it, just looking for something that will give a bit of an improvement compared to my click random buffs while tapdancing on the space bar - approach. Like do I just bind all my cannon / torp boosting buffs and aux to bat, together with fireall and mash the key? Because a lot of the technical stuff says don't do 'this', because it interrupts 'that' or resets so-and-so cooldown...

    Anyway, I appreciate the teamspeak suggestion! I'll take you up on that sometime - gotta run errands this afternoon, but whenever I catch you (and you have the time), would love a few minutes of your time.
    You can if you find it easier. My advice however would be to bind powers you used most often to keep things simple, for example; Emergency power to Weapons for EWC trait proccing, A2B for c/d management, Kemocite stuff like that. Keep weapon powers as clickies so you can manage them manually.

    Personally I have 3 power rotation macros to make things a little less stressful. A primary rotation, a buffing rotation and c/d management and then a backup dps rotation that has things tac fleet and plasma storm console.

    So the first part was quick and easy. Using that awesome program, I set up the "H" key tun tray 6, slots 1-6, although I currently only put 4 items on it. Tac Team 1, CSV 2, TS1 and attack pattern Omega (Attack pattern Omega is only because that's the one my BOFF already had. I added fire all weapons as the second line. On the display it looks like this

    A Execute Partial Tray [Tray 5] [From 1 to 6]
    A Fire all Weapons

    The problem I am running into is that it only processes the 1st 2, and only after hitting "H" again does it process the 2nd 2.
    What am I doing wrong that it it doesn't trigger them on the first press ?

    Of course pressing H twice is still a heck of a lot easier than mouse clicking all 4 of those every time I want them so it stills helps a bunch but I would love to fix it.

    Another question. Although I will eventually add A2B into the mix once I get a set of good technicians, I am currently running a second set of Tac Team and CSV that I activate manually if the keybound ones are still on cooldown and I don't want to wait. If I add those to in the 2 currently unused slots I
    left in the keybind, will activating the keybind again just ignore the ones on cooldown and activate the ready ones or will it cause some kind of problems....assuming I can get it to to actually run everything with a single keypress to begin with.

    The game's input buffer for ability commands will only let you queue 2 actions at a time, so you would need to keep tapping the spam key you created to cycle through the full range of abilities you tagged. As far as I'm aware there isn't an option to auto-loop commands and it probably wouldn't be optimal anyway to have stuff triggering right before you need to move to a new spot or something.

    As far as the 2-copies question, activating a power usually triggers a global cooldown on all copies of that power (and often related powers). The global cooldown timer is often shorter than the individual cooldown on a given copy of the power so it may be helpful in the short term to have a second copy of powers, but once you get a cooldown clickie (e.g. A2B with techs or Photonic Officer) it is usually more optimal to at most double up on the cooldown clickie and slot only 1 copy of other powers. For Tac slots that often means picking up stuff like Kemocite Laced Weaponry, Distributed Targeting, and/or Best Served Cold that you can stack on top of CSV (or your preferred DEW fire mode for other builds).

    So 2 at a time it is then. Still a lot easier than manually mouse clicking them all. Since I really only started using keybinds to make ambush attack a little easier I'm now wishing there was a separate clicky for cloaking and uncloaking. Cloak only when I want to but be able to activate all the powers and uncloak with the key bind.

    And as I was typing that I think I figured out how to do it. Set up 1 tray with just the 4 powers to 1 keybind. Set up a second tray with those same powers plus cloak/uncloak on a different keybind.

    Thanks for this and all of the replies. I have never delved into keybinding or macros or anything like this in STO and would like to try it. I could definitely use at least an omg I'm gonna die keybind haha. I find myself staring dreamily at the beauty of my gravity wells popping up, and look down just in time to see my hull at 12%. Heck half of the icons on my bars I forget what they even do. Likely from too many alts and too many skills.
