Hi! My name's James, but my friends call me either Jim, or Door. That might need a bit of explanation... LOL For a very long time, since the mid 90s, my AIM handle was "The Really BIG Door" It was a running gag, and I don't remember what started it. OH! Some of my friends call me Lunchbox, because we were all fans of Jay and Silent Bob... LOL So...where am I from? I'm from Florida. I lived in Michigan for a while, but we came back to Florida when I was little. That's Eastern Time for those that don't know, or GMT-4 for our international peeps. I'm 37, and I've been into Trek since I was little.
Star Trek: The Next Generation was the first Star Trek show I ever watched with Measure of a Man being my favorite episode. Data is and always will be my favorite character. I didn't like Star Trek: Deep Space Nine at first, and spent more time watching Babylon 5. It wasn't until a few years ago that I finally gave it a real chance and binged it on Netlfix. It's good, but it's still not my favorite. I kind of liked Voyager more than DS9, which is heresy to some people, I know. I absolutely loved Star Trek: Enterprise. Don't like that? Fight me, bro. I tried, I really really tried, to like Star Trek: Discovery. I just can't. It felt...wrong to me. It lacked the hopefulness of the other series, to me. Maybe I'm just missing something. I loved Picard, though it did feel...a little off. I dunno. Modern Trek just feels too...jaded. Trek, to me, shouldn't be dark and gritty.
Moving on! I've never actually played any Star Trek games, except Star Trek Online. Nor have I read any of the books. Unless you count Memory Alpha, and Memory Beta, websites that I spend entirely too much time on.
