[Discussion] - What is/are the worst uniforms in the Star Trek franchise?

For me the worst is this, I mean come on what is this and why?

They're too neutral and don't really come across as Star Trek, more like Space 1999.

That guy ... I feel bad for whoever convinced him that is attire of the future... oh wait I know who... lol... Roddenberry always had a thing for skant uniforms...

I will agree with WelshAvenger on The Motion Picture uniforms being the worst. Even the crew didn't like the uniforms.

The Motion Picture and the Skant uniforms were both terrible. Looking at other uniforms though, the TNG Romulan uniform always bugged me too. It looks like they took grandma's quilt, dyed it grey, then cut a head hole in it and stitched up the sides. Always undercut the secretive, devious motif for me, though I otherwise always liked the Romulans.

Still way better than the stupid TOS ones, including Hipster scarf...

As for the TNG design... One could interpret psychological warefare reasons into it but lets face it... The first time they were shown was in the late 80s and what was "In" in the 80s?

Hey, the skants are great! I'd love to be able to "report to duty" (i.e. go to work) in one during the worst days of summer.

The Romulan quilts have always bothered me. So ugly.

I was thinking that, it's like he's doing to walk of shame and probably thinking, "the things I do for a couple dollars" .

WelshAvenger, I agree those were a bit random, glad they changed it up for the remaining movies.
