I'm just curious, is anyone in UFP been playing this game at all recently!

I actually thoroughly finished the game about two weeks ago, having checked out all the endings. As I predicted, despite my best intentions I only ever manage one completionist playthrough. Endings are bittersweet, but it was a great game.

Also once I discovered the Nomad-modified cars, specifically the Coyote and Javelina, driving was no longer an issue. Those two hit the top speeds while having off-road handling, being nice and "sticky" on city streets. Had a lot of fun cruising around once I got those cars.

Been a while, but the fabled 1.2 patch notes have been revealed, so we may see it appearing this week. I've not read through them myself yet, but there has been rumbling that the patch is not going to be the be all and end all to fix the issues the game has (though there's a huge number of bug fixes) and things will need to wait a bit longer on that front.

I totally understand that, I've been trying to play through the game recently and it's been a nightmare. I keep hitting random bugs haha. My favourite was exiting the car, getting stuck in some sort of box and while trying to get out, I floated into the air with the box still attached

So free DLCs should be coming later this year then, that's what's supposed to happen after 1.2 so yeah, I'll play it again once a DLC comes out.

I think this hurts me the most out of all of the patch notes. They're not fixing the police AI, or adding scaling officers (e.g. MaxTac at highest wanted level), merely spawning them further away to avoid the sudden appearance of police officers.

Patch 1.2 has now gone live, though it's a fairly substantial size, roughly 33GB. The updater is also yapping about hard drive space so I've had to shuffle some stuff around to free up some room.

It appears to be a Cyberpunk themed ARPG in the mould of Diablo, though I know nothing about it beyond that.

The system is there. It's just not fully functional.

One person reported going on a killing spree, resulting in cops, drones, robots, and eventually MaxTac. Then the cops stopped coming and the stars cleared, whereupon the player discovered that the NCPD had locked down the area and set up roadblocks. There's police chatter about a cyberpsycho (ie. V) in the area.

Another person verified it. They tried to drive away after the stars cleared, ran into one of the roadblocks, and was blown up. This system doesn't appear to work in all districts, though some districts also have police turrets.

Very few people make it past MaxTac showing up, but you can clearly see videos on YouTube of MaxTac officers spawning right behind the streamer.

I've played about 10 hours of this now and I have to say, I'm quite enjoying it. There's some graphical glitches here and there and the driving is absolutely terrible, especially on a motorbike because of how twitchy the camera control is but it's turning out to be fun. I didn't play past the intro mission pre-patch so I've no real clue just how different it is.

Trying it as a stealth character rather than all guns blazing, but I found a lovely legendary revolver when looking around (Overture I think it's called) and compared to the automatic pistols, it can blow an NPC's head clean off with a single shot if you get your aim right. Now that's getting the job done when there's just one or 2 enemies left and you're in a hurry.
