So on the current season cast, I was concerned when they cast Bradley Walsh in the show and he became a character I grew to like despite the fact that Graham and Ryan leave the show with very little character development I felt Graham offered more than Ryan though and Bradley Walsh wasn't as bad as I expected him to be in the role. But I can not say I feel that same way about today's announcement of John Bishop who looks to be replacing Graham and Ryan in the show. If he uses that stupid annoying voice he uses when doing his stand up I will go insane.

Now onto tonights special the prison break with Jack was lame running out in a forcefield ball that goes through walls and cages Jack in this episode felt quite flat and didn't have the same impact that he had when he appeared in the Fugitive of the Judoon given his role was expected but still, I expected to see some similar energy it just didn't seem to click despite still being funny from him in places he seemed out of place in this episode and underutilized feeling more a spare part to the rest the cast. I mean its Jack friggin Harkness the guy was the head of Torchwood after the Doctor and saved the world himself on more than one occasion so to have him in a role making you feel he was a spare part was frustrating.

Yes, you don't expect the chemistry to be the same as it once was with a different cast but even away from Doctor Who and in Torchwood Jack had more energy might be just that Barrowman in older and can't bring the same energy to the role but I don't think it was this was the issue.

I like that we saw some old Doctor enemies in the prison with her but that's about all you can say on that

The story itself wasn't too bad but again it all felt somewhat stale and I finished watching thinking I wanted something more.

The story felt unfinished, and the loss of Graham is disappointing, he was my favourite companion. I don't think the prison break was supposed to be too complex, which is probably why it was a bit lame. I think Jack Harkness did okay though, it did get me thinking, it would be great to see a Torchwood with Jack and Graham.

It's being reported in the last couple of hours that Jodie Whittaker has quit as the Doctor though it hasn't been officially announced as yet. So a new Doctor could well be on the horizon.

It was rumoured last season she was thinking that she was leaving, She hasn't been too bad as the first female doctor to be fair she wasn't my first choice but didn't mind her I wanted someone like Tilda Swinton or Richard Ayoade in the role. I did see earlier Michael Sheen is one the names bouncing around should the news be true I wouldn't mind him but can't see it.

Her current statement in an interview implies she doesn't want to quit.

“As far as I'm concerned, right now, I'm the Doctor and that's taking up everything of me, as an actor,” she said. “And to think something beyond that, I can't put my head there, and I don't want to.”

Seen that also yesterday myself, if she stays on they need to make her a stronger character at the moment i feel that they are treating her like a little girl and i feel she needs something more. What you dont want is Who to fail on the 1st female Doctor as then all the idiots who was like the Doctor cant be a woman will be all like i told you so.

They reckon Eccleston could get a cameo with her this season and while i would love that I don't think that she needs that she needs a strong story that lets her assert herself more as the doctor.

Guess time will tell anyway.
