Due to my search-fu skills being severly lacking I am having trouble figuring this out.

I plan on keeping my new KDF recruits, one each on my 3 accounts, "pure" Kilngon. Which means, other than flying some others for the traits, they are going to fly Klingon ships, and are sticking with Disruptors for weapons.

The question is, which missions can I skip to to pick up good disruptor gear for my loadout ? I am going with dual heavy cannons...although that could be changed to plain dual cannons or single cannons if needed, although I plan on sticking with cannons. Unless necessary for a set bonus I don't plan on any torps. I have already fabbed Dual heavies and turrets with [Pen].

I am not adverse to spending a few millions on the exchange for the right gear, if I can get something I can use while levelling. Oh yeh, I should have started with that. I'm not looking for my final loadout so rep gear is out. I need stuff I can use from level 10 or so onward.

I know I'm asking a lot but I an hoping that with all the expertise in UFP, someone a lot smarter than me will have already figured all this out for thier own KDF recruit.

Also, although I am obviously keeping those with [Pen] for my own needs, I have been tossing a lot of Mk 2 VR disruptor dual heavies and turrets in the Fleet bank at UFP main and UFP 2. I'll be happy to keep doing so as long as people want them.

I have no time frames as my play times are totally unpredictable but I'll be happy to send stuff directly to anyone that asks so you don't have to wait for someone to move stuff from the desposit section of the Fleet banks, just drop your @handle in here and I'll shoot you stuff through game mail as I fab it. Between all my toons, I am capable of fabbing pretty much anything so don't hesitate to ask.

I run a pure disruptor build on my KDF toon, I personally really enjoy the Nausicaan set from the Mission Echo's.
The set is really nice and the set bonuses are top notch giving a good amount of hull penetration and disruptor disabling effects.

I'd suggest looking at the Lorca's Custom Fire Controls and a series of Vulnerability locators with the [Dis] mod, I always run the Terran Task Force Disruptor Dual Heavy Cannons from T6 Terran rep.

I also run Disruptor Quad Cannons from the Ning'tao BoP (T4 iirc) which you can get for 75K dil if you don't already have access.

Many thanks, going after the Nausicaan set. Sucks that it only has beams and not cannons though. Sucks even more that it takes the complete set to get the last of the disruptor boost. Currently, on the lvl 12 toon, running the console, with the torp in the rear so I'm still running full dual heavy cannons on the front. I love watching the enemy ships just melt away in a single ambush burst.
I can't make up my mind whether to just stick with the 2 pieces, or go ahead and grab the beams. Don't know if the damage boost from the full set will be enough to make up for having to replace one of my cannons with beams instead.

I'll probably grab the quads once I'm high enough level.....if I can afford the Dilithium. Right now I'm really burning through Dilithium trying to upgrade my cannons. Between the 3 accounts I've fabbed about 20 dual heavies with [Pen]. So far I've got at least 3 per toon that have gone UR by Mk IV, and one that made Epic at Mk VI. I could save on Dilithium by using Phoenix upgrades but I've been using experimentals for the increased rarity chance boost but it sure burns through Dilithium.

Doing the same with turrets but nowhere near as lucky, only one or two per toon made UR and so far nothing to Epic. Not too disappointed yet. Only one of the 3 toons is at lvl 20 yet so I've still got a lot of chances.

Rep gear and Fleet gear is still a long ways off so that's not an option yet. Any consoles or anything I might be able to grab off the exchange ? Actually I think I have a few console choice packs from opening boxes that I've never used. The problem there is that those choice boxes are all in the hands of Fed toons, so unless it will let me pick a KDF console with a Fed toon they don't do me a lot of good. I do believe that although the boxes are character bound, once I've actually picked something it's not bound until equipped, I just don't know if I'm stuck with having to pick Fed equipment since it's a Fed toon.

Spiral Waves if you have access are probably some the best in game and they now have a choice of BA, DBB, DHC, DC and Turrets they just work out expensive to get with the unlock for them if you don't have it and the fact that they all cost dilithium to get. The new Zhat Vash Disruptors are nice though i have not run a parse on them yet to see how well they are.

From what I found with a quick search, it looks like sprail waves are only available if I buy a Cardassian ship so that's out. I've seen the Zhat Vash Disruptors on the exchange but haven't looked at them very closely so I have no idea if thier process would be worth it compared to fabbed weapons with [Pen].

We've got a lot of DPS gurus in UFP so maybe someone is going to, or has already, parsed some and could say which is better.

So, I happen to have a few infinity weapons packs that I've never opened. I was waiting till I had the time and the motivation to figure out which of the numerous options would net me the most on the exchange, a long and tedious process, which is why I've also got a number of unopened personal/trair boxes, salvaged consoles, boff manuals, etc. Other than ships, of any tier, if it's in a choice box, I probably have it and haven't had the time and/or motivation to figure out what to pick to net me the most on the exchange.....or even what to pick that I might actually want for myself for that matter.

Anyway, long story short. Looking for advice.

The basics. I'm going to keep using that nice BOP my KDF recruit got, at least until I max mastery on it. "End game", this toon is likely going to use a BOP (or equivalant) as her main ship, Disruptor build, running mostly dual heavy cannons. Not rock firm on dual heavies but definitely going with cannons. There's just something about mass cannon fire that is so much more satisfying to watch and listen to than beams. (That's why my main in my siggy still mostly flies her T5, I LOVE the look when all those cannons send a salvo of death on thier way).

Anyway, keeping in mind a disruptor cannon build.....

1, Which of the numerous disruptor choices from the choice boxes give me the best pew,pew.

2. Same for crossfaction/salvaged console.

3. Same for space traits.

Also, although Rep gear is a long, long ways away for me with no more play time than I normally get. Is there a Rep set that really stands out as THE set to have for a BOP running with Disruptor cannons ?

In terms of gear as I mentioned beforehand, the Nausicaan set is really good. The Zhat Vash disruptors are pretty nice its just a matter of getting the weapons from the packs to all be the same type.

Space traits, aside from the normal or meta space traits nothing really comes to mind regarding disruptor specifically, so Context is for Kings, Good day to die and such are all really good choices.

Rep gear would be the Discovery 2piece set for tanky shields and passive hull regen (warp core and shield) or you could run the Terran Task Force Warp Core if you want a little extra bonus to weapon crits. The Terran Task Force Disruptor Dual Heavy cannons are a must slot for any build as they are just monsters.

Which would be best for my BOP ? Being a BOP, I'm mostly after surviveability, but turn rate is always useful when running dual heavies.

I’d recommend getting the counter-command multi-conduit energy relay console from the mission Surface Tension. That buffs, Phaser, Disruptor, Radiation and Photon damage.

For a space set I’d recommend the Sol set from the mission Midnight. Its 3 piece has a nice aoe heal and it has pretty good stats.

perfect timing today. Got online just in to get the last shot at the event rewards. 10 seconds after I finished SB1 with my 3 account, the system shut down.

But that's not why I'm posting. All 3 accounts are now level 50+ and I'm starting Reps.
I am of course going for Terran as I was told that Terran Rep has really good stuff for my disruptor cannon build. . Between Delta/Temporal/Gamma toons, I have a LOT of choice mark boxes to get me going, have my main toon in each account at level 6 in all Reps so I get the XP boost,and I might even break down and burn through the dilithium for the discounts if there's enough stuff from a given rep to make it worth it. So anyway, to the question(s)

1. Besides Terran, what are the other "must have" rep gear to support a BOP/Raider/Escort build running disruptor dual heavy cannons
2. Along with rep gear, what other specialization along with would be the most useful ? Besides the other benefits, I'm pretty sure pilot is a must for the warp coree breach protection. I've already found that having to charge straight into enemies to keep my cannons on target makes warp core breaches one of the most hazardous thing out there.
3. And this is really just opinions. Are the spiral wave Disruptors really enough better than others to make it worth buying a ship just to get access to them ? For my finances, buying a ship is a significant purchase, and while I do have a T6 coupon, I only have 1 and I don't want to use it (or spend actual money) to buy a ship that I'll likely never even fly just to have access to Spiral waves, unless they a LOT better than other disruptors.


Last question, can someone steer me towards a good link for "keybinds for dummies" ? I've been avoiding them so space battle doesn't become nothing more than flying in circles and mashing the space bar but now that I'm using ambush tactics I've found that I need to "automate" at least a few things. From what I remember researching them way back when, keybinds are not real simple and easy, or it could be just the "tutorials" I read just made them sound difficult.
On the subject of keybinds, does a keybind apply to the account, or can you have different keybinds for each toon ?

There actually was one other thing I had a question about but like walking into a room and not remembering why, for the life of me I can't remember what the other question was

When it comes to disruptors there isn’t really a “best in class” choice. There are plenty of cool disruptor weapons, but the most popular choices are Spiral Wave disruptors as they have cannon options and the Advanced Disruptors from the Disco D7 if you’re running a beam boat.

My suggestion would be Spiral Waves if you have the dil to afford them. In terms of Rep Gear you’ll want to pickup from the disco rep:

Shield + Warp core 2pc as that gives really tanky shields and great hull regen bonuses. Also pickup the Lorca’s Custom Fire controls console as that gives really nice crit chance buffs.

For alternative warp core if you prefer its stats would be the Terran Rep warp core as that gives nice weapon amplification bonuses among others.

You could slot the Counter Command Multi Conduit Energy Relay as that buffs disruptor damage and radiation damage which will improve your Kemocite Laced Weaponry power a little bit.

Many thanks. Reading the thread I might end up with some of the same questions already posted but with the minimal "automation" I want to do, this looks like just what I needed. No muss, no fuss, put what I need on a specific power tray and use that to set a key to activate them. A single key press instead of 4-5 mouse clicks.
