According to the exclusive article from giantfreakinrobot Scott Bakula is set to return as Captain Archer in a cameo appearance. If the cameo is well received its going to leave the door open to an Archer and NX-01 solo series. We don’t know which series, its speculated he’ll make an appearance in Season 2 of Picard or in Pikes Strange New Worlds series.

Personally I’d love to see some more NX01 and crew on screen, I feel like by S4 ENT was just hitting its stride as a series and could have gone big with the Earth-Romulan war plot that was planned. In my mind SNW makes more sense as an old Admiral or perhaps as UFP president as we know he eventually ascended to the position according to his bio in; In a Mirror Darkly.

I'll be honest I'd love to see that and it would be good to see some more of the NX-01. Enterprise was one of my favourite series as I loved the look at how things were before all the tech they take for granted later on.

I do agree the show was just finding it's stride when it was cancelled and I feel that's partly why the current era of TV is better, because ratings back then were more about what was just doing well on TV at the time, now they look at everything.

I'm pretty sure they kept messing with it's timing in the US as well which would have contributed to that. Plus the NX was a nice ship design

It would sound logical that he would come back in strange new worlds as in the Picard timeline, he would already be dead by then. Or it would be in a memory flash but then it would not leave a door open for more episodes with him in it.

If its going to be in Picard S2 there could be some temporal shenanigans or perhaps as a Holodeck recreation, but I agree it's more likely SNW’s.

I think that Scott Bakula trying to juggle two full-time series would be crazy. Granted they're both CBS properties so travel times between sets would be minimal, it's still a little bonkers.

P.S. Headcanon says that Archer and Pride are really Sam Beckett blowing past the lifetime barrier.

true, everything is possible but like I said, it would not give much room for further episodes with him in it or with the NX-01, in strange new worlds it would make more sence.

Its not both series, its one or the other based on what series we know are coming. Its more speculation about which one makes more sense, personally I feel that the Pike series makes more sense since its around that timeframe. There’s even a rumour floating around that Avery Brooks wants to return as The Sisko but I wouldn’t out much stock in that one.

I'm thinking that given a choice between continuing with the NCIS franchise or trying to revive ENT... Stick with NCIS.

I would say, if they do bring back the NX-01... please not that horrible refit that's in STO. The ship doesn't suit the TOS era engineering section at the bottom in my personal opinon
